Abstract

The pallet is used for transporting goods to the point of sale. It comprises three runners (5a, 5b, 5c) of composite construction, which permit entry of forklift tines in one direction (1a, 1b) for transportation. The top of the pallet can be removed in sections (4a) to permit price marking of the inner layers. The runners are joined together by a beam (15a) in the first direction. The top surface of each of the runners has a longitudinal slot (7a, 7b, 7c) for receiving strips (8a, 8b, 8c) under each section of flooring. After price marking, the sections can be re-assembled onto the base and the complete unit transported to the selling area.
