Abstract

The four-way pallet is a one-piece pressing of ligno-cellulose fibres and a heat-hardened binder, with hollow conical feet widening towards the top for transport by roller conveyor. The feet along the narrow sides of the pallet at least have standing surfaces whose lengths are multiples of their widths, and greater than the intervals between the rollers of the conveyor. The design is simple to manufacture and thus cheap, while providing a stable platform during transport by conveyor and allowing easy handling by a forklift truck.
