Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé de dessiccation de déchets radio-actifs en employant un agent véhiculeur inerte. La solution à sécher est introduite sous des conditions de turbulence élevée dans un agent véhiculeur liquide inerte chaud. Le solvant est volatilisé en laissant des particules séchées dispersées dans l'agent véhiculeur inerte qui les transporte vers une station de mixage où un liant pour ces particules est injecté sous des conditions de turbulence. Le liant de préférence mouille les particules et les particules enduites sont transportées vers une station de séparation où elles s'agglomèrent et sont séparées de l'agent véhiculeur en une seconde phase. Par la suite on peut eventuellement ajouter un catalyseur de durcissement au liant L'invention est par exemple utilisable pour l'élimination des déchets radio-actifs de sulfate de sodium.
