Abstract
The heat generator can be adapted for liquid fuels and has a cylindrical hearth made from refractory material. The hearth is closed at the top by a cone. There is a circular combustion chamber which is fitted at the top with a number of fuel injectors. The primary combustion air is admitted through the holes at the top of the chamber. The main fuel injector is fitted in a central cone fitted with combustion air holes. The furnace is fitted with coiled heat exchanger tubes on the outside edge and economiser tubes beyond the boiler. The flue gases are expelled after the economiser.
