Abstract
Procédé pour engendrer un mélange gazeux contenant de l'hydrogène ou de l'oxyde de carbone et destiné à être ajouté au mélange air/combustible d'un moteur à combustion afin de réduire la teneur en composants nuisibles des gaz d'échappement provenant de ce moteur. Selon l'invention, ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'hydrogène et l'oxyde de carbone sont engendrés par fractionnement en phase vapeur d'alcools inférieurs, en particulier du méthanol, dans un réacteur catalytique comportant un catalyseur. Alimentation de moteurs à combustion.
