Abstract

The valve is for a vehicle tyre, and permits measuring the air pressure. It comprises a valve body (11) with cap nut (12) having a central through-passage (12b) and an annular hollow chamber (12c) between a central pillar (12e) and the outer nut wall. The pillar projects from the lower nut face and forms a valve seat. The central passage (12b) contains an axially movable pin (13) carrying a closure member (14) which normally is in sealing contact with the seat. The nut is screwed on to the valve body with the pillar extending into the central bore thereof. The annular chamber may contain a packing ring (16) located between the cap nut and the upper end of the valve body.
