Abstract

La présente invention concerne des perfectionnements apportés aux catalyseurs de métaux nobles du groupe platine. Le catalyseur comprend un support sur lequel est déposé un premier revêtement d'un oxyde metallique réfractaire et sur ce revêtement est déposé un revêtement d'un ou plusieurs composés intermétalliques de la formule générle Ax By où A est choisi parmi Ru, Th, Pd, Ir et Pt et B est choisi parmi Al, Sc, Y, les lanthanides, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, et Ta et x et y sont des nombres entiers. L'invention est par exemple utilisable pour la préparation d'acide nitrique par oxydation catalytique de l'ammoniaque
