Abstract

The corner joint is for swing frames, windows, doors etc, transmitting the lengthwise movement of actuating rods along the outside of the frame, these being coupled to each other by a bridge piece fitting round the frame corner. The bridge piece (7) also acts as a locking bolt, working in conjunction with a lip (8) mounted on the supporting structure. The bridge piece can be a half-moon-shaped plate, curved on the inside, while the outside is widened at one end to act as a bolt. The piece can hinge on the actuating rod, the hinge having a quick-acting fixing device securing it to the rod, typically in the form of a lip resting on the rod, with a pin fitting in a hole in the latter.
