Abstract

The support and corrector can be used during the day, or at night, and provides a continuous reinforcement for the spinal column. It comprises a front chin strap and neck support at the rear. These are joined to a pelvic harness by two links. Tension is applied to these links by pressure cylinders. Each has a cylindrical outer case (2) contg. an internally threaded tod (1). This has a stop (3, 4) each end and holds a spring (5) under compression. The threaded ends of the links are adjustable in these rods and full tension is obtained by locking (7, 8) the spring in the lowest position.
