Abstract

The reinforced concrete beam has a vertical and conical hole (c) which houses a coach type bolt. There is also an electrical insulating element consisting of a thin head of insulating material. This is preferably of plastic which presses on the upper part of the conical hole. This head centres the fixing, and a sealing liquid is poured around the fixing to fill all the space between it and the conical hole. The head is cylindrical and has a cylindrical shoulder to fit a similar shape in the conical hole. There is also an insulating sheath butting on to the cylindrical shoulder.
