Abstract

The sawing machine for tree trunks has a conventional chain saw (8) used horizontally, supported at the bottom of a pair of vertical shafts (6) which pass through two horizontal carrier arms (1) which also have three sets of rollers (3) mounted between them, parallel to the cutting chain. The rollers enable the device to travel along the top of the tree trunk while lying on the ground, with the chain saw adjusted to a required height below the rollers to cut off a plank. This height is set by sticking the vertical shafts through the side arms, then locking them using attached handles (11) and lock nuts.
