Abstract

The clamping grip is particularly for lifting and assembly of metal frames, and has a movable jaw (1) on a first pivot pin (2) on a support (4) acting as the fixed jaw. The moving jaw works in conjunction with a control lever (5) on a second pin (7) parallel to the first, and also on the support. In one position of the lever the moving jaw is quickly locked against the work, and in the other it is instantaneously released. There can be a roller (8) on the lever on a spindle parallel to the pins, so as to act against a ramp (10) on the moving jaw, a spring (11) holding the lever in position.
