The reaction of mono- or poly-epoxide cpds with cpds contg >=1 of H2N-, HN , HOOC- and OC-O-CO- is accelerated by cpds. of formula: (where R and R1=H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl, cycloalkyl and heterocyclic gps, halogen, keto, amino and nitro gps. as well as ether thioether, ester and carbonamide contg. residual, gps and 2R are S or O; R11=alkynyl alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, cycloalkylene or heterocyclic gp. opt. substd. by halogen, nitro, or amino, gps further 2 similar or different R1 are joined by O-, N- or S- and X=H or a gp.
