Abstract

A container (1) contains an organic liquid oil in which a cylindrical float (2) is immersed. The float has two compartments, the upper of which is sealed by a cover (4) which carries a thin shaft (8). The lower compartment (7) is enclosed by thin flexible rubber cover (6) and contains air at normal pressure and also a ballast ring (8). The cover (9) of the liquid container (1) has a central passage for the float shaft which carries a conical moulded plastic button (10) on top to enable sealing of the container during storage and transportation. The cover also carries the scales (11).
