Abstract
Kuvataan biopohjainen p-symeeni, joka voidaan edelleen konvertoida tereftalaatiksi. Lisäksi kuvataan menetelmä raa’an sulfaattitärpätin, joka on kerätty kemiallisesta massanvalmistuksesta, konvertoimiseksi p-symeeniksi ja mahdollisesti biologista alkuperää olevaksi tereftaalihapoksi ja vastaavasti sen tuotteet. Mainitussa menetelmässä sekä konversio että rikinpoisto suoritetaan yhdessä reaktiovaiheessa. Esillä oleva kuvaus liittyy myös zeoliittikatalyyttien käyttöön mainitussa menetelmässä.
