Abstract

A piston pump 1 driven by the vehicle engine has a hydraulic motor 9 connected to the pump 1 by its input pipe 8 and to auxiliary power steering 14, 15 by its output pipe 13. The pump 1 comprises an eccentric 2, a piston 3 and a non-return valve 7. Other Figures show the driving of secondary units of the vehicle, and the use of two motors in series and in parallel. The arrangement smoothes out pulsations in the delivery from the pump 1.
