Abstract

807,550. Vehicle hydraulic driving gear. BAGNALL Ltd., W. G., and BURNS, J. S. July 23, 1956 [Aug. 9, 1955], No. 22955/55. Class 79(2) In a vehicle hydraulic transmission the power unit 1 drives two separate hydraulic pumps 2, 2a, each of which is independently connected by a fluid line system ,5, 5a with its own hydraulic motor 3, 3a coupled without intermediate gearing to a drive wheel or sprocket 12, 12a, each pump being of the variable delivery reversible swash-plate type. As shown the output of the pumps 2, 2a can be varied and reversed by control levers 15, 15a. Each system 5, 5a includes a pair of relief or blow-off valves 6. To make up leakages in the systems booster pumps 7 driven from gearing connecting the power unit and the pumps are connected to a common tank 8 and feed the systems through filters 9 and check valves 11, relief valves 13 being provided. A bleed or leakage circuit 14 is provided for the systems. The levers 15 15d may be used for steering purposes.
