Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de un catalizador de plata activado para la epoxidación en fase de vapor de etileno con un gas que contiene oxígeno, cuyo procedimiento consiste en poner en contacto un material de soporte catalítico inorgánico poroso con una solución impregnante y calentar el material de soporte impregnado a una temperatura comprendida entre 50ºC y 300ºC aproximadamente para evaporar las sustancias volátiles y activar el catalizador caracterizado porque la solución impregnante está constituida por: a) una sal de plata, b) un agente solubilizante/reductor formado por una amina orgánica. c) perclorato de cesio, perclorato de rubidio o una mezcla de los mismos. d) un disolvente acuoso y e) ácido perclórico, ácido periódico, ácido per-brómico o una mezcla de los mismos, en una proporción de 0 20 mili-equivalentes por mili-equivalente del perclorato en dicha solución.
