Abstract
Un método para la fabricación de un material de adición para la producción de hierro bruto, caracterizado porque material sulfurado de hierro se carga en un espacio de horno junto con oxígeno y material que contiene silicato, en proporciones relativas tales que después de la fusión autógena se obtiene una masa fundida de silicato de hierro que contiene aproximadamente 60-90 por ciento en peso de hierro, calculado como óxido de hierro (II), dicha masa fundida se granula, o se deja que solidifique, y luego se tritura a trozos de un tamaño adecuado para cargar a una unidad de horno, para la producción de hierro bruto.
