Abstract

The headlamp consists of a main reflector 1 fitted with a bulb 3 having main and dipped filaments, or a dipped filament only, and a second reflector 4 fitted with a bulb 5 having a main filament only, enclosed within the reflector 1, the beam from the reflector 5 passing through the lower part of the front glass 2. The area of the glass 2 through which the dipped beam passes may be ribbed as may also the area through which the beam from the reflector 5 passes.
