Abstract

A bottle of thermoplastic material has an integral dispensing head 2 having an annular part 26 and a bellows fold 18, the shoulder 26 serving to locate a valve member 13 which closes an opening 10 in a member 5 when the member 5 is forced downwards by the application of a screw cap. On release of the cap the resilience of the material of the head 2 expands the fold 18 to lift the member 5 from the member 13. An absorbent pad 7, which may be of lamb's wool, Fig. 9 (not shown), enables the bottle contents to be applied. The valve member 13 may be of polyethylene or polypropylene, and its construction modified, Figs. 7-8 (not shown). The dispensing head may be flexible but not resilient provided that the container is of flexible material.
