805,997. Reservoir applicators. SANITAN PLASTIC INDUSTRI A. S. Aug. 2, 1957 [Aug. 3, 1956], No. 24636/57. Class 19. An applicator for attachment to and for dispensing liquids or pastes from the neck of a bottle, collapsible tube or container consists of a permeable pad or sponge 3 secured to an outwardly-directed surface of a socket 1 that can be attached to the neck, the surface being of a maximal height equal to that of a surrounding flange 2. The surface may be convex, dome shaped, or conical and be provided with annular groves 5 that assist in retaining the sponge or pad in position. A cap 7 may be press fitted onto the flange to protect the sponge or pad when the applicator is not in use. A spigot 10 for closing the passage through the socket to the sponge may be formed integrally with the cap.
