Abstract

The cardboard box comprises wall panels (12A,12B) separated by fold lines (13). Flaps (18A,18B), extending the side panels, are used to form a hinged, sealed lid, whilst reinforcing wall zones locate strap handle rivets, defined by transverse fold lines (16). Two opposed flaps incorporate a detachable L-shaped tongue (23) which folds down inside the relevant wall panel to provide the rivet (35) reinforcement. The tongue has a slot in the vicinity of the transverse fold line, folded down about an offset local fold line (20).
