635,750. Boxes. BELSINGER, Inc. Nov. 29, 1947, No. 31636. Convention date, May 6. [Class 18] A shipping box or carton has a double walled bottom formed by intermediate panels of two super-imposed blanks of which one also forms front and rear walls 12, 13 and lid 10 and the other also provides end walls 14, the ends being higher than the walls 12, 13 and being secured to flaps 16, 17, 18 of the other blank by staples. The ends have double folded portions 15 and holes 14a to provide hand grips. A liner 40, Fig. 10, may be inserted to bring the walls to even height and a sheet or a tray 60, Fig. 11, of waterproof material may be interposed between the bases of the two box sections. A reinforcing sheet 50, Fig. 10, may be secured inside the lid by stapling its flanged ends 51, 52 to the lid flanges 22, 21. The box may be sealed by a length of gummed tape applied to the meeting edges of the box and lid.
