Abstract

The invention relates to a salt of phenoxy-methylpenicillin wit N-[41-(betahydroxy ethyl)-diethylenediamino - 11 - methyl] tetracycline of formula <FORM:0891004/IV (b)/1> The salt is produced by reacting equimolar amounts of the penicillin and tetracycline in an inert solvent such as water or methanol and lyophilizing (water) or precipitating by the addition of ether (methanol). The salt is soluble in water and may be injected (see Group VI). Specifications 774,753 and 888,968 are referred to.ALSO:An injectable composition comprises an aqueous solution of a salt of phenoxymethyl penicillin with N - [41 -(betahydroxyethyl)-diethylenediamino - 11 - methyl] tetracycline which salt has the formula <FORM:0891004/VI/1> <FORM:0891004/VI/2> Specifications 774,753 and 888,968 are referred to.
