Hongos fitopatógenos
Las mezclas de la presente invención tienen una excelente actividad contra un amplio espectro de hongos fitopatógenos Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Deuteromycetes y Peronosporomycetes (sinónimo Oomycetes). Algunos de ellos son sistémicamente eficaces y se puede emplear en la protección de cultivos como fungicidas foliares, como fungicidas para protección de las semillas y como fungicidas para el suelo. También pueden ser utilizados para el tratamiento de semillas.
Son particularmente importantes en el control de una multitud de hongos en diversas plantas de cultivo, tales como plantas de trigo, centeno, cebada, avena, arroz, maíz, pasto, plátanos, algodón, soja, café, caña de azúcar, vid, frutales y ornamentales y vegetales tales como pepinos, judías, tomates, patatas y cucurbitáceas, y sobre las semillas de estas plantas.
Son especialmente adecuadas para controlar las siguientes enfermedades de las plantas:
− Especies de Alternaria en hortalizas, colza de semillas oleaginosas, remolacha azucarera y frutales y arroz, por ejemplo, A. solani o A. alternata en patatas y tomates;

Las mezclas de acuerdo con la presente invención también son adecuados para el tratamiento de semillas con el fin de proteger las semillas de los hongos dañinos y plagas de animales, en particular de hongos y plagas de insectos que viven en el suelo y de las raíces y brotes contra las plagas resultantes de la planta contra plagas del suelo e insectos foliares.
Se prefiere la protección de las raíces y brotes resultantes de la planta.
Por consiguiente, la presente invención comprende por lo tanto un método para la protección de las semillas contra los insectos, en particular de las plagas del suelo y de las raíces y brotes de las plántulas de los hongos e insectos nocivos, en particular de insectos del suelo y foliares, comprendiendo dicho método poner en contacto las semillas antes de la siembra y/o después de la pregerminación con mezclas de acuerdo con la presente invención.
Se prefiere particularmente un método, en donde se protegen las raíces y los brotes de la planta.
La término semilla abarca las semillas y propágulos de la planta de todos los tipos, incluyendo pero sin limitarse, a semillas verdaderas, pedazos de semilla, retoños, bulbos, frutos, tubérculos, granos, esquejes, brotes cortados y similares, y significa en una realización preferida semillas verdaderas.
El término tratamiento de la semilla comprende todas las técnicas adecuadas de tratamiento de las semillas conocidas en el arte, tales como revestimiento de las semillas, recubrimiento de las semillas, espolvoreo de las semillas, remojo de las semillas y granulación de las semillas.
La presente invención también comprende semillas recubiertas con, o que contienen los compuestos activos. El término "recubierto con y/o que contiene" generalmente significa que los ingredientes activos están en su mayor parte sobre la superficie del producto de propagación al momento de la aplicación, aunque la mayor o menor parte del ingrediente puede penetrar en el producto de propagación, dependiendo del método de aplicación. Cuando dichos productos de propagación se plantan, o plantan nuevamente, puede absorber el ingrediente activo.
Las semillas adecuadas son semillas de cereales, tubérculos, cultivos oleaginosos, hortalizas, especias, plantas ornamentales, por ejemplo semillas de trigo duro y de otro tipo, cebada, avena, centeno, maíz (maíz forrajero y maíz de azúcar/dulce y maíz de campo), soja, cultivos oleaginosos, crucíferas, algodón, girasol, banano, arroz, colza de semilla oleaginosa, colza de nabo, remolacha azucarera, remolacha forrajera, berenjena, patatas, hierba, pasto, césped, hierva forrajera, tomates, puerros, calabaza, repollo, lechuga iceberg, pimienta, pepinos, melones, especies de Brassica, melones, judías, guisantes, ajos, cebollas, zanahorias, plantas tuberosas como la patata, la caña de azúcar, tabaco, uvas, petunias, geranios/pelargonios, pensamientos e impatiens.
Además, las mezclas de acuerdo con la invención también pueden se pueden utilizar para de tratamiento de las semillas de plantas, que toleran la acción de herbicidas o fungicidas o insecticidas debido a fitomejoramiento, incluyendo métodos de ingeniería genética.
Por ejemplo, se pueden emplear mezclas activas en el tratamiento de semillas de plantas, que sean resistentes a herbicidas del grupo que consiste de las sulfonilureas, imidazolinonas, glufosinato de amonio o glifosato isopropilamonio y sustancias activas análogas (véase por ejemplo, EP-A -0242236, EP-A-242246) (WO 92/00377) (EP-A-0257993, la patente de los Estados Unidos No. 5.013.659) o en plantas de cultivo transgénicas, por ejemplo algodón, con la capacidad de producir toxinas de Bacillus thuringiensis (toxinas Bt) que vuelven resistentes a las plantas contra ciertas plagas (EP-A-0142924, EPA-0193259).
Además, las mezclas de acuerdo con la presente invención se pueden utilizar también para el tratamiento de semillas de plantas, que tienen características modificadas en comparación con las plantas existentes, que se pueden generar por ejemplo mediante métodos de fitomejoramiento tradicionales y/o la generación de mutantes, o mediante procedimientos recombinantes). Por ejemplo, se han descrito una cantidad de casos de modificaciones recombinantes de plantas de cultivo con el propósito de modificar el almidón sintetizado en las plantas (por ejemplo, los documentos WO 92/11376, WO 92/14827, WO 91/19806) o plantas de cultivo transgénicas que tienen una composición modificada de ácidos grasos (documento WO 91/13972).
La aplicación de las mezclas para el tratamiento de semillas se lleva a cabo mediante rociado o por espolvoreo de las semillas antes de la siembra de las plantas y antes de que emerjan las plantas.
En el tratamiento de las semillas, se aplican las correspondientes las formulaciones mediante el tratamiento de las semillas con una cantidad efectiva de la mezcla de acuerdo con la presente invención. Aquí, las tasas de aplicación del(de los) compuesto(s) activo(s) es generalmente de 0,1 g a 10 kg por 100 kg de semilla, preferiblemente de 1 g a 5 kg por 100 kg de semilla, en particular de 1 g a 2,5 kg por 100 kg de semilla. Para cultivos específicos tales como lechuga, la tasa puede ser superior.
