EL PROCESO PUEDE SER EFECTUADO ISOTERMICAMENTE O ADIABATICAMENTE, SIN AIRE DE CO-SUMINISTRO U OTRO GAS QUE CONTENGA OXIGENO, EN LA PRESENCIA O AUSENCIA DE UN CATALIZADOR DE NI, CO, ZN O MN PARA EL CATALIZADOR DE CR. EL CATALIZADOR PUEDE ESTAR NO SOPORTADO O SOPORTADO CON UN SOPORTE PREFERIBLEMENTE SELECCIONADO ENTRE CARBONO ACTIVADO, ALUMINA Y ALUMINA FLUORADA. LA FORMACION DEL PRODUCTO DE OLEFINA PUEDE MANTENERSE POR DEBAJO DE 10 PPM DE ACUERDO CON EL PROCESO DE LA INVENCION.
