Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a needle selector to be applicable to very high driving rotational number of a circular knitting machine having a small diameter by providing a solenoid formed by superposing a core on a needle-selecting magnet pole of a magnet pole piece in a cavity provided in a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION: This needle selector fixes at least one permanent magnet 5 to a magnet pole piece 1 so as a solenoid 4 having a core 2 to be provided in a cavity 5.1 of the permanent magnet 5. A driving part of the electromagnetic transducer is composed of a holding piece 1.4 opposed to a jack and a needle selecting magnet pole 1.1 on which a core 2 of the solenoid 4 is carried.
