The present invention relates to a shower tray that has a structure that considerably facilitates its installation, by virtue of allowing access through the shower tray itself to the area in which the corresponding drain valve will be installed, and drainage allowing access to it in a comfortable manner, whether for its installation, replacement, maintenance, etc., all in a quick and simple manner.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the field of practical application of the invention, the installation of shower trays is one of the works that involves the need for a perfect fit both in the location of the tray in the space delimited for it and due to the existence of the water inlet and outlet pipes, which are obviously hidden from view, embedded under the aforementioned tray, without any possibility of accessing them.

The shower tray's lifespan, barring breakage, is usually long, but its weak point is the drain and the corresponding valve, which easily collapse with continued use, especially due to the accumulation of debris and dirt that tends to clog the valve and render it unusable, making it difficult to replace.

The object of this invention is to develop a system to access the valve of the shower tray or, where appropriate, of any installation with water outlet through a drain and valve without having to lift the shower tray or the structure of said installation.

The applicant is not aware of any effective and precise solution in the current state of the art, in terms of industrial property or in the market, with the technical characteristics of the invention presented, which solves three different problems in the current global market.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The shower tray with access to a drain valve proposed by the invention fully satisfactorily resolves the problem described above, avoiding having to lift the shower tray to access the drain valve, whether for installation, replacement or maintenance, making said installation of the tray more comfortable.

To this end, and more specifically, the shower tray of the invention is made up of three fundamental elements that can be easily linked and disconnected from each other.

The first of these is the shower tray itself, which, based on the conventional structure of this type of device, in accordance with very diverse design lines, has the particularity of having a large window on its surface that determines an access of sufficient dimensions to facilitate the installation, removal and maintenance of the drain valve through said window with the tray already installed, thus avoiding having to lift the floor and the drain itself to correctly position said drain valve in correspondence with the shower tray drain.

This window will feature a double perimeter step that will serve as a means of support and adjustment for the two other pieces that make up the shower tray.

More specifically, a piece is tightly inserted into the first or innermost and lowest step to act as a drain, having plan dimensions in accordance with the lower step into which it fits, with the interposition of a sealing gasket, defining on its upper surface a watertight surface that redirects the shower water towards a hole with a decreasing section, through the upper part of the same, whose lower diameter will be adequate to the diameter of the drain valve, which will be duly facing this element, different models of these pieces being able to be manufactured, so that said hole can be centered or off-center, depending on the needs required by the drain valve itself, adapting according to the area where the drain is located.

The tray doesn't need to be lifted, but is a much more convenient and simple operation, making maintenance, repair, and installation of the shower system much easier.
