Abstract

The package has a set of stacked trays (2-4) for containing products, and a base for supporting the trays, where the trays are folded one on the other. The package is made of a cardboard. Description

The present invention relates to the field of cardboard packaging which can be transformed into a presentation set of the products they contain.

It is often sought to make multifunctional packaging to reduce the costs associated with product packaging. Thus it is sometimes proposed to arrange the packaging in which the products are transported from their manufacturing and packaging site to the point where they are presented for sale in such a way that one can use packaging materials. Packaging is known in which the elements are recombined together to form a display assembly with trays or trays mounted on a base. The base has the function of putting the products up to people.

When the products are placed in crates for transport, it is also known to stack them on pallets that must be surrounded by a plastic film forming a streamer. This has a function of protection and maintenance of the assembly during the handling and transport of the pallet.

The plaintiff has set itself the objective of making a packaging that allows its use as a display on the place of exhibition and sale of the products it contains but also incorporates a pallet so that it can be removed in one piece by transport and handling equipment.

This objective is achieved with a display package comprising a plurality of trays containing products, stacked on top of each other, a base for supporting the trays, a pallet, characterized in that the base is arranged in sheath trays during the transport, trays being placed on a pallet and all, tray, sheath and pallet, being contained in a cardboard envelope.

The package according to the invention makes it possible to produce a compact assembly. Indeed the height of the assembly is reduced during transport since the base forms a sheath in which the trays are contained.

Advantageously, the casing is secured to the pallet and more particularly the casing forms a cap and is retained by being secured to the pallet by snap shutters, folded to 180 °, under the platform of the pallet. The edge of the flaps folded at 180 ° abuts the platform and prevents upward movement. otherwise the envelope being closed by flaps on the top can not move down. The envelope is thus immobilized against any movement both upwards and downwards relative to the pallet.

This feature allows for an assembly, without additional accessory, for maintaining the elements together.

According to another feature, the package comprises a cutting wire of the envelope for releasing the portion of the envelope above the pallet. This cutting wire allows a very easy implementation of the display.

According to another characteristic, the sheath comprises a belt whose dimensions correspond to those of the stack of trays, the sheath being supported on the platform of the pallet. More particularly, the sheath comprises closure flaps at least of the upper part of the sheath, possibly with lateral wedging means projecting vertically when the closure flaps of the sheath are folded at right angles. Three trays 2, 3 and 4 are stacked on top of each other. The number is not limiting. The invention does not relate to the particular structure of the trays. They are preferably made of cardboard by folding a properly cut and grooved plate. More preferably lateral locking lugs, one sees, referenced 2 ', on the upper tray, hold together trays stacked and prevent any inadvertent shifting. The trays contain the products to be shipped and presented. It is for this type of packaging rather light products, such as manufactured products, textiles or paper or plastic.

Next to the trays, we see the cardboard sheath also. This is for example an American box 5 with a belt 51 and flaps 52, 53, 54 and 55 which as a sheath are kept erect. The dimensions of the sheath can contain trays with their load.

The third element of the assembly consists of a pallet 6. It can be of the cardboard type; that is to say with a tray 61 of cardboard and two pads 62 and 63 cardboard also internally reinforced by pads 64 and 65 formed of winding for example cardboard. In this way the pallet is all cardboard but as needed the pallet can also be made of another material. For the purposes of attachment to the casing the tray protrudes slightly laterally from the two pads 62 and 63.

The fourth element is formed of the envelope 7. It is parallelepipedic in the form of a belt extended on the upper side of flaps 71, 72, 73 and 74. It comprises in the thickness of the cardboard a cutting wire 75 which allows to separate the belt in two. The bottom comprises a cutout on two parallel faces, corresponding to the spacing between the two pads of the pallet. On both sides perpendicular to the preceding the belt is extended by two flaps 76 and 77 whose height is substantially equal to that of the pads.

For packaging, the products are first loaded into trays 2, 3 and 4; the trays are placed on the pallet and the sheath 5 is placed on the trays stacked and loaded on the pallet. Then we slip the envelope 7 on the sheath and pallet assembly. To lock the casing on the pallet, the flaps 76 and 77 have been folded down 180 ° beforehand. These, when the casing goes down along the sheath and the pallet, are held pressed against the lateral face of the casing. 'envelope. When the envelope is sufficiently down and has passed the plateau 61 of the pallet, the shutters relax and move away, because a space is provided under the plate between the edge and the adjacent pad. When the flaps are separated, they prevent any rise of the envelope by abutting against the underside of the plate.

Complete locking is ensured by closing the upper face and folding the flaps 71 to 74 at right angles and gluing or stapling them. The envelope forming a cap is thus blocked against any relative movement with respect to the pallet both upwards and downwards.

The crate is thus ready to be shipped while being both compact and securely locked.

On the exhibition site, as seen on the figure 5 which shows the steps of setting up the display, just pull on the cutting wire 75 to release the upper part 7s of the casing 7. The lower part 7i remains in place and thus allows to hide the pallet 6.

The sheath 5 is separated from the trays, the base is formed by folding the shutters 51 to 54. The sheath 5 is placed on the pallet 6. The stacked trays are placed on the base 5. As seen in FIG. material of the belt at the corners ensures the formation of lateral wedges 56.

The base is also fixed on the pallet thanks to the lower part 7i of the envelope which remains in place and which exceeds if desired above the tray of the pallet. Any variant is possible.
