Abstract

The pallet (2) has a cardboard case comprising a set of case units (10, 20) that is provided with central panels (11, 21) and adjoining side flaps (12-14, 22-24), respectively. Each central panel is fixed on the pallet by a lower flap in deployed position of the case. The central panels are arranged parallel to each other. A wedging unit (30) is integrated with the case units, and comprises a set of slots (32), where each slot receives a planar portion of a flat object. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing an object.

Description

PALLET CASE WITH STORAGE

The present invention relates to the field of pallet boxes whose body is made of a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard.

A box-pallet comprises a box having generally the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, resting on a pallet, wood or other material. The crate and the pallet are integral with each other. In order to facilitate their storage before use or after delivery, it is possible to at least partially fold the body of the box on the pallet.

Several types of such pallet boxes are known and they have very wide applications in many technical sectors.

Pallet boxes are particularly known for storing elements by stacking them on each other. A disadvantage induced by such pallet boxes lies in the fact that no storage solution elements is proposed, particularly for flat elements, such as for example flat elements of solar panels, plates or panes.

The object of the invention is to obtain a box-pallet, easy setting volume, allowing easy and safe storage, storage and manipulation of a plurality of objects. The invention thus proposes to remedy these disadvantages and it relates to a collapsible pallet box comprising a pallet and a cardboard box, or other semi-rigid material, which can be folded flat on the pallet. The box comprises a first body member and a second body member each comprising a central panel, adjoining side flaps and wherein each of the central panels is fixed on the pallet by means of a lower flap. In the deployed storage position of the body, the two central panels are parallel to each other. The pallet box is remarkable in that it comprises at least one wedging means comprising a plurality of slots, said slots each being able to receive at least a flat portion of at least one object.

Preferably, at least one wedging means is integral with the first body member.

Preferably, at least one wedging means is integral with the second body member.

Advantageously, at least one wedging means is removable and able to be positioned on at least a flat part of at least one object stored in the body. This facilitates the storage and alignment of objects in the crate. This also facilitates the closure of the second body member which only needs to be closed on the removable positioning means positioned.

According to a feature of the invention, the first body member further comprises fold lines defining a body height when the first body member is bent and allowing the first body member to tilt between a folded position and an unfolded position and the second body member further comprises fold lines defining a body height when the second body member is bent and allowing the second body member to tilt between a folded position and an unfolded position.

Preferably, at least one wedging means is of triangular section, the slots being formed in at least one of the three lateral faces of the wedging means.

Advantageously, the pallet box further comprises a belt comprising four panels and being adapted to be positioned on the first body member and the second body member in the deployed storage position of the body.

The pallet box advantageously comprises, in addition, a cover allowing, on the one hand, to cover the body in the extended storage position, and, on the other hand, to cover the central panels, the lateral flaps and the belt, when are folded on the pallet in the rest position.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the pallet box further comprises a bottom of the pallet secured to the pallet and on which, in the folded position of the body, the first body member and the second body member are adapted to be folded.

The invention also relates to a method of storage in a pallet box as defined above of at least one object of which at least a portion is flat, said method comprising the steps of deployment of the first body member in the unfolded position, substantially vertical, and positioning at least a flat portion of at least one object in at least one slot of at least one wedging means.

According to a characteristic of the invention, the pallet box comprises at least one removable locking means, said method further comprising a step of positioning said removable wedging means on at least a flat portion of at least one positioned object.

Thus, the storage of the objects 60 in the box 4 is performed by wedging a flat portion of each object 60 in the slots 32 of the wedging means 30 mounted on the first body member 10 and the second body member 20 as illustrated by the 5.
