Definitions
- the present invention relates to a color card with one or more hue fields for colors, where at least a hue field a color with a visible one and / or carries tangible effect by in and / or on the color located effect particles is generated. Furthermore, the invention relates to a process for the preparation the color chart.
- a color card of the type mentioned and a method for their production are from the relevant Practice known.
- this known color card exists every single color field from a small cut a support on which the paint is full or was applied in strips. Each color field blank is then glued individually on the color chart.
- For the production of individual color fields is a continuous web or a number of larger arches in the Squeegee method with the color, in the previously the effect particles were mixed, coated. After drying the color becomes the orbit or bow in the hue fields tailored to the desired size. After that have to the individual cuts are sorted according to color tones and affixed to the color chart in the correct position.
- Another disadvantage is that the grain size the effect particle to achieve the desired effect is limited to a certain maximum size, the through the width of the squeegee gap when squeezing the paint is set to the web or bows.
- the use of higher grain sizes would lead to jamming of effect particles in the squeegee gap, resulting in unacceptable Quality degradation, especially in the coating direction running scratches or streaks on the finished Hue field, would result.
- This is with the known Only relatively weak effects can be achieved by a desired, as realistic as possible reproduction are often far away.
- DE 42 08 034 A1 shows a method for manufacturing a paint job and a product made after that.
- the method is to achieve a special effect, for example, a Metalliclack bines provided that a color layer by means of a carrier material Offset printing is applied.
- This color layer can be determined by colorimetric measurement be reviewed and corrected if necessary.
- To this Color coat will contain an effect particle, at least transparent effect paint layer applied as Effect particles such as metallic, mica or Mother of pearl plates, but also plastic particles, silicone and the like.
- Effect particles such as metallic, mica or Mother of pearl plates, but also plastic particles, silicone and the like.
- Veronicateilchen can be a variety of paint effects largely true to the original.
- a disadvantage is in this known prior art considered that two consecutive inking steps are required, namely in a first Step that applying the ink layer by offset printing and in a second step, applying the transparent effect paint layer containing the effect particles. It is necessary, the first color layer first to harden or to dry before the transparent effect lacquer layer can be applied. These must then be cured after their order or be dried. It is also necessary to use the effect particles first to mix in the transparent paint, then this then as an effect varnish layer on the first color layer is applied. It is disadvantageous the selection of application methods for the effect lacquer layer limited to such procedures that not by the effect particles contained in the paint to a falsification or impairment of the appearance to lead.
- a hue template is known, a substrate, at least one color and / or effect Layer and at least one clear, transparent, includes organically modified ceramic layer, which in the superposed sequence.
- These Color tone templates are used by the automotive industry and from other industries as so-called "master panels" to define a particular hue of a single-layered hue or multi-layered color and / or effect Paint used to make this hue safe and secure reproduce in consistent quality.
- the hue templates are often too comparative color sheets brought into contact, thereby the hue templates of a strong mechanical load get abandoned. To the mechanical resistance to increase the hue templates, these are according to this prior art document with the ceramic layer coated as topmost layer.
- the color and / or Effect-imparting layer is preferably one here pigmented lacquer layer, whereby as effect pigments metal flake pigments, like aluminum bronzes, chromatised Aluminum bronzes, commercially available stainless steel bronzes and non-metallic effect pigments, such as. B. pearlescent or interference pigments can be used.
- the hue template also has a thermally cured electrocoating as a primer under the salmon layer.
- the hue template Fillers are present between the primer and the color and / or effect paint layer available are.
- a clearcoat are located between the color and / or effect paint layer and the top ceramic layer.
- This known hue template comprises at least two, preferably even more, layers, namely the color and / or effect layer and the above as the top layer applied clear, transparent, organically modified Ceramic layer.
- this hue template effect particles are used, these are in the Lowermost layer paint layer and are present the application of this paint layer suspended in the paint.
- the top ceramic layer serves to the hue template to render mechanically particularly resistant and against to protect a scratching during their use. by virtue of the purpose of use is as smooth as possible clear top layer desired to be genuine visible color impression of the underlying lacquer layer to ensure.
- the Task a color card of the type mentioned and to provide a method for their production, wherein the avoided disadvantages are avoided and where in particular a color card with higher quality at the same time economic producibility and high Security against errors is achieved.
- the solution of the color card part of the Task succeeds according to the invention with a color card with the aforementioned type, which characterized is that the color in each case in the by the / a hue field defined area immediately is applied to the color chart and that the effect particles separately according to the color on the color chart are applied particles.
- the color and the Effect particles applied sequentially on the color chart are achieved, that is the order of color not affected or impaired by the effect particles becomes.
- the order procedure has with the color is applied to the color chart, none Influence on the distribution of the effect particles in the Color and within the shade field. Rather, allow the separately applied effect particles a Targeted setting of a desired playback picture by an appropriate amount and distribution of Effect particles over the area of the individual color fields.
- paint can be a water-based paint or a solvent-based paint.
- a water-based paint there are no hazards Solvents. It is then appropriate, the color card even waterproof or with a water barrier Coating on with the hue fields too equip them.
- a solvent-based paint has the specific advantage of being the material the shade card does not harm, even if this Paper or relatively thin cardboard is.
- the color is a multi-component or a radiation-curing Color is.
- These colors stand out in particular by a very fast drying or hardening, which allows a very fast production process.
- the color can be a covering color or alternatively to be a translucent color.
- the effect particles at least are formed proportionately by an effect powder.
- the effect particles are particles with which a tactile and visible roughening effect on the surface of the Color can be generated.
- the invention further provides that the effect particles particles are, with which an optical punctiform shading effect can be generated.
- This can be purely optical or additional to the tactile roughness of the surface of the Farbtonfeldes also an optical impression of a roughness be generated, giving a very realistic rendering of colors, for example, on a wall or Plaster surface are applied, allowed.
- the effect particles particles are, with which a visible gloss effect on the surface the color is generated, and / or that the effect particles Particles are those with a visible metallic effect can be generated on the surface of the paint, and / or that the effect particles are particles with which a visible reflection effect on the surface of the Color can be generated.
- the effects can be as needed and desired effect singly or in combination be used together.
- the invention proposes that the effect particles at least proportionally formed by a plastic powder are.
- the effect particles are advantageous easy and there is a possibility of one large number of plastics and related properties to select a suitable material or mixture of materials.
- effect particles at least proportionally by a mineral powder are formed. This is the material selection for the effect particles further enlarged and There may be further advantageous properties for the effect particles be achieved.
- the effect particles at least proportionately are formed by a metal powder.
- metal powder can be in conjunction with the color more effects achieve that with particles of plastics or minerals are unreachable.
- bronzing is from the state the technique known as bronzing, however is doing a thin with an adhesive or with a sticky paint coated surface with the finest bronze dust initially in excess over the entire surface, dense and opaque coated, e.g. the impression of a print with to achieve a gold color. If a color is used here then this one has the color of the bronze nearby color, e.g. yellow, for a particularly rich To achieve gold tone.
- the bronze dust over becomes brushed off after application, which is only possible if the adhesive or ink layer is relatively thin, otherwise the glue or paint is brushed off would.
- the color card according to the invention it is in Contrary to opaque bronzing around the production of Hue fields with an effect that changes the color of the Has effect, but still leaves visible.
- the effect particles take only a part, usually only a small portion of the area of the hue field.
- effect particles Another way of executing the effect particles is still that the effect particles at least proportionately are formed by an iriodines pigment. Hereby can be achieved an effect that with a Mother-of-pearl gloss is comparable.
- the effect particles preferably to 700 ⁇ m, having a maximum grain size of up to several hundred ⁇ m.
- This grain size allows particularly clear effects and allows, for example, a reproduction of a strong roughness in order to come as close as possible to the real surface to be reproduced by the hue fields. Since in the color card according to the invention, the color in the individual color fields for themselves, so particle-free, is applied directly to the color chart, eliminating the limitation of the maximum grain size by the width of the doctor gap, which is usually in practice at about 150 ⁇ m.
- the effect particles at least proportionately are formed by fibers.
- the fibers are preferably textile fibers or synthetic fibers or mineral fibers, which is different Effects achieve read.
- the color card according to the invention is suitable for the representation of plaster or wall paints, there these in reality after their application to one Plaster or wall surface existing in the surface have tactile and visible roughness.
- the illustrated Colors suitable for the automotive sector Colors in particular vehicle paint colors.
- vehicle paint colors Especially for the Vehicle painting today often becomes effect paints used with the color card according to the invention well can be played back.
- the color card is preferred a cut from paper or cardboard or from Plastic or metal foil. Also laminates, as with Film coated paper, of course, are usable.
- the color and the effect particles be applied one after the other to the color chart, In particular, the advantage is achieved that the order the color is not affected by the effect particles contained therein or impaired.
- that has Application method with which the color on the color chart is applied does not affect the distribution of Effect particles in the color and within the hue field. Rather, the subsequent application of the effect particles allows a targeted and the desired playback picture corresponding distribution of the effect particles over the area of the individual color fields.
- the color can be different in different ways the individual hue fields on the color chart be applied.
- the application of the Paint in the lacquer printing process is preferred.
- the color is preferred in the Stencil printing or screen printing or flexographic printing or Gravure or offset printing method applied.
- Advantageous There is great freedom here because of the color when applied to the color card yet no this Applying possibly disturbing effect particles contains.
- the invention provides that the effect particles in or on the color card applied color before drying or curing be applied or applied. This ensures that that the effect particles permanently and safely with the Connect paint without the need for a special bonding agent, like additional glue or clear coat, must be used.
- a color-coated rough surface such as e.g. a plaster or wall surface of a building
- the liquid layer thickness the color in their order on the shade card and the Material and grain size or grain size spectrum the effect particles are coordinated so that the effect particles introduced into the paint completely be wetted by the paint and after drying or Hardening of the paint felt from the surface of / each Projecting color field. This ensures that where an effect particle is in the color field, not the intrinsic color of the effect particle is visible, but Again, only the color applied to the color chart with her own color can be seen. A previous one suitable coloring of the effect particles is therefore advantageous not necessary.
- the liquid layer thickness of the color in their Order on the coloring card and the material and the Grain size or the grain size spectrum of the effect particles be coordinated so that the on the color applied effect particles remain on the paint and that after drying or hardening of the paint, the effect particles connected to the color at the bottom are and visible on the surface of the / each color field lie.
- a further modification of the method provides that the Liquid layer thickness of the paint when applied to the Coloring card and the material and the grain size or the Grain size spectrum of the effect particles so coordinated be that the effect particles introduced into the paint only over a part of their height in the color sink in and that after drying or hardening of the paint the effect particles with their top, unwetted by the color Part visible from the surface of the / each color field protrude. This is where the effect particles become special securely anchored in the paint and stay at the same time at the hue field surface still with their own Color and surface texture visible.
- the invention still provides that the Color chart before or after applying the paint with an informative and / or advertising caption and / or artwork is printed. These in advance or subsequent printing can be done with any common printing process done because a previous Do not interfere with the subsequent printing Applying color and effect particles to the Color chart has and because also the previous application no color and effect particles on the color card disturbing influence on a subsequent printing has.
- the color card according to the invention and in the process for their preparation a large Freedom in the design of the color card, what the Production of interesting and high-quality color cards allowed.
- the reproducible effects are very varied and can e.g. Rough effects, gloss effects, metallic effects, Reflection effects or shading effects, each individually or in combinations with each other.
- the color charts can be the form of loose individual, smooth or folded blanks, the form of color fans or color books or the form of color displays or have color labels.
- the Color chart 1 from an arcuate blank 10, e.g. from a strong paper or light cardboard.
- color card 1 On the color card 1 here are three color fields 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 applied directly, for example in Lacquer printing process, the simultaneous application of all three color fields 2.1 to 2.3 with different Shades allowed.
- Each color field 2.1 to 2.3 has here a rectangular outline, the color fields 2.1 to 2.3 each have a small distance, e.g. from a few mm, from each other.
- the picture 4 ' is, as well as an informing and / or advertising label 4, in advance in a first production step or finally in a final manufacturing step on the paper blank 10 in a conventional Printing method printed.
- the color chart 1 Any suitable common printing process can be used become.
- the application is carried out of the color fields 2.1 to 2.3 on the color chart 1.
- the Apply color 2 for each color field 2.1 to 2.3 takes place here by means of a suitable printing process, like lacquer printing, which is preferably a simultaneous and Positionally accurate application of all color fields 2.1 to 2.3 allowed.
- a suitable printing process like lacquer printing, which is preferably a simultaneous and Positionally accurate application of all color fields 2.1 to 2.3 allowed.
- this manufacturing step first each color 2 for itself or pure, that is still without effect particles 3, in a predetermined liquid layer thickness applied to the paper blank 10.
- the effect particles 3 are pure particles that are not in one Clear varnish or other liquid suspended are.
- the effect particles 3 in the form of a Effect powder used on the still liquid paint 2 scattered in a desired amount and distribution targeted becomes.
- These effect particles 3 have in the illustrated Example the property that they after application completely wet on the color 2 of this become.
- the effect particles 3 the property show that they are in their immediate vicinity lead to a darker hue of color 2 than in the remaining areas of color 2. That way too visually the effect of a color coated rough Surface with an oblique or flat light incidence played.
- the color chart 1 also a smaller or larger number of Contain hue fields.
