Definitions
- the invention is based on a method of the type of the main claim, from a recipient according to the genus of independent claim 7 and from a transmitter according to the Genus of independent claim 13.
- ENV / 278/4/1/0012 is a Coding protocol for traffic information known that is able to provide information on many types of To transmit traffic information. This includes Construction site information, weather information, information about traffic incidents or the like, the information national and international main routes, regional routes as well as local and rural routes.
- the inventive method with the features of Main claim, the receiver according to the invention with the Features of the independent claim 7 and transmitter according to the invention with the features of secondary claim 13 have the advantage over the other that for coding and decoding Traffic information is a subset of those in the European pre-standard regulations used becomes. This can keep traffic reports shorter become and are less complex. On the one hand, this makes it easier the coding of coded according to the subset Traffic information because only a smaller number of information options are to be considered. Furthermore, the use of the invention is facilitated Subset the transmission of traffic information because the traffic information coded in this way is shorter. About that In addition, the decoding of traffic information is carried out the use of the subset of the invention prescribed regulations for coding of Traffic information facilitated because of the Traffic information less optional information contain.
- the information options of the subset provide exactly one information block.
- the traffic information can be kept smaller, which leads to a shorter transmission time, lower transmission costs and easier processing of the traffic information.
- the method according to the invention is listed in accordance with the RDS code, then at most double groups are possible as multiple groups.
- the fact that information options of the subset provide exactly one information block can also be expressed in such a way that information options according to the invention must not have a separator that separates information blocks from one another.
- the predetermined length of an information block together with the requirement that no separator may be present in an information option means that traffic information that is coded according to the subset comprises a maximum of double groups. The same result arises from the requirement that information options may contain only one information block.
- a first increment sign and / or a second Increase signs may occur.
- the Extentive signs are used to indicate the extent of a Characterize traffic disruption exactly. Especially for navigation purposes, it is important to have accurate information about the extent of traffic disturbances of a navigation unit supply. Other possible components of a Individual information options, however, are in the subset Coding of traffic information not provided. This serves to reduce the coding and decoding effort.
- a single event option only provides a second length information.
- Another advantage is that a Multiple use option provides an optional event. This allows information about complex situations are transmitted because more than one per traffic information Event can be broadcast. Besides, it is advantageous that a for each optional event Length information as a single event option in Information block is transferable.
- Another advantage is that location information that is in the Information portion of the coded according to the subset Traffic information is provided in coded form according to a location table. Thereby Location information transmitted in the information section are not permitted in the form of EUROAD location information, resulting in a simpler structure of traffic information leads.
- the receiver according to the invention has a Receiving unit, with the receiving unit Signals can be received that are encoded according to the subset Include traffic information. This makes it for one mobile device according to the invention possible, Traffic information encoded according to the subset are to be received and processed further.
- the invention Receiver has a transmitter unit, with the Transmitter unit signals are deductible Information requests and / or coded traffic information include. This can be done, for example, using a mobile Receiver, which has a transmitter unit, signals for example requests for information, traffic reports, coded traffic information or the like, to a transmitter be sent.
- the receiver according to the invention comprises a TMC decoder, by means of which traffic information are decodable according to the subset. That is it possible that the recipient is in accordance with the subset encoded traffic information processed specifically.
- a memory having traffic reports according to the subset are coded, can be stored.
- Traffic announcements according to the subset of the given Regulations less per traffic message in the memory Space needed.
- a memory in the invention Receiver and in the transmitter according to the invention can thus same traffic capacity record more traffic or he can be smaller for the same number of traffic reports be dimensioned.
- the invention Receiver has a navigation unit that means includes the information content of traffic reports to process. This enables a navigation task to be carried out by the Use of traffic information after the Subset of the specified regulations are coded, be done faster and easier.
- the transmitter has a transmitter unit has, wherein signals can be transmitted by the transmitting unit are encoded traffic information.
- signals can be transmitted by the transmitting unit are encoded traffic information.
- the one Sending unit it is possible, for example, To send signals encoded according to the subset Include traffic information.
- the so sent Traffic information is then available via a public or a private communication channel from a mobile Receiver can be received.
- the transmitter has a receiving unit has, signals can be received by the receiving unit are that requests for information and / or encoded Include traffic information.
- the sender is able to use one or more Receivers receive information and thereby Target traffic information to specific recipients send or a specific selection to certain recipients To provide traffic information.
- the transmitter has a TMC encoder comprises, by means of the TMC encoder according to the subset encoded traffic information can be encoded.
- This allows Traffic information encoded according to the subset are sent to one or more recipients.
- An agreement to broadcast exclusively from Traffic information encoded according to the subset is advantageous. Because the recipient only receives traffic information according to the Coded subset, it can be easier and thus be designed more cost-effectively. It also leads to one easier transmission in the transmitter because the Traffic information according to the invention is small.
- Figures 1 to 5 is a coding protocol for TMC traffic reports according to a subset of the ALERT-C syntax shown. This syntax is quoted in European Specified pre-standard. In brackets is when introducing new terms the corresponding English term from the called European pre-standard.
- the method according to the invention used for encoding and decoding Traffic information is a subset of the normalized Regulations, such as the ALERT-C syntax.
- the Method according to the invention for coding Traffic reports use only regulations that also in the amount of standardized regulations, for example, the ALERT-C syntax. Indeed this set of regulations becomes a subset selected to encode, transmit and Decoding traffic information more effectively too shape.
- the selected subset according to the invention is with a view to a particularly effective processing of the Traffic information selected.
- a subset is for example for one more effective navigation, especially of vehicles, particularly suitable.
- the selection of the subset in view this exemplary purpose is described below based on the selection of a subset of the invention ALERT-C syntax described.
- the selection of a subset however, there is neither a lot of prescribed rules for an ALERT-C syntax-compliant set of regulations limited, nor is it limited to a lot of Regulations that comply with the RDS (Radio Data System) standard or TMC (Traffic Message Channel) standard compliant is.
