Definitions
- the invention relates to an antenna for a vehicle for mounting on a vehicle surface, in particular a vehicle roof, according to the features of the preamble of Claim 1.
- Such an antenna for a vehicle is known from DE 295 00 961 U1.
- This Antenna has a base plate (base body) made of metal, on which the necessary Antenna elements (such as a stripline antenna) are arranged.
- a Antenna housing which consists of a non-conductive material such as plastic, surround.
- the base plate has a threaded bolt that goes into an opening the vehicle surface engages and with which the entire antenna on this vehicle surface is fixable. This is done here with a hexagon nut, which over the threaded bolt is screwed so that the base plate lie flat-parallel on the vehicle roof comes.
- the basic body consists of functional reasons Metal, so that when mounting the prefabricated antenna on the vehicle roof damage to the painted surface of the vehicle roof can also occur. This is noticeable in the later operation of the vehicle, that namely the metal vehicle roof begins to rust and thus rust spots around the Occur around antenna.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of an antenna for a vehicle To provide installation on a vehicle surface, in particular a vehicle roof, with which the disadvantages described are avoided.
- the base body has a seal in this way, that the seal is arranged between the base body and the housing and at the same time to seal the body against a vehicle interior is provided.
- the seal is at least arranged around a projection which extends from the base body of the antenna.
- the configuration of the seal according to the invention is such that with a single Seal a seal can be done in two directions.
- another part of the Seal the seal of the body against a vehicle interior. at the vehicle interior is, for example, the passenger compartment of the Vehicle if the antenna is mounted on the vehicle roof. Through this Part of the seal, which preferably runs all the way around the projection Neighborhood is prevented from outside dirt, moisture or water can enter the vehicle interior.
- the down is that means in the direction of the vehicle interior, directed portion of the seal designed that it is compressed on the surface of the vehicle during assembly of the base body when the base body over its projection on the vehicle surface is screwed.
- the seal is still formed to seal the base body against the vehicle surface, for which a further, that is to say the third sub-area is present.
- This third section of the seal extends circumferentially along the outer edge of the base body and prevents thus additionally that dirt or moisture in the Space can penetrate between the body and the vehicle surface.
- the seal is in one Spraying process at least partially both on the underside of the base body and attachable to the top.
- This has the advantage that the Seal, in particular made of a plastic material, in this way on the base body (Base plate) of the antenna is injected, that the tightness of the opening in the vehicle roof (body hole) to the outside and the tightness between the Housing (hood) and the main body ensures and the dust tightness of the Antenna is realized.
- the area on which sealing material is to be applied can according to the geometry of the base body and the application be automated. This can e.g. B. happen that first the base body produced and the sealant is applied by spraying.
- non-flat parts of the seal can be provided, which have the sealing function take over, while the flat partial areas have no sealing function and the Position fixation serve, but also the plane-parallel parts of the housing.
- spraying process is advantageously a one- or multi-component spraying process, this particularly depending on the materials used (Basic body, sealing material, condition of the vehicle surface, other parameters) is chosen.
- FIGS Figures 1 and 2 Two exemplary embodiments, to which the invention is not restricted, are shown in FIGS Figures 1 and 2 shown and explained below.
- a schematically illustrated antenna 1 has a base body 2, which is made of metal consists.
- the base body is, for example, in a (pressure) casting process or also made as a stamped and bent part made of metal.
- a Housing 3 made of plastic, which includes the antenna elements (possibly including of electronic components, e.g. B. amplifier) surrounds and protects that on the base body 2 are arranged.
- the antenna elements vary depending on the intended use of antenna 1 and are not shown in the figure for the sake of simplicity.
- the vehicle surface 4 has an opening 5 (Body hole), in which a projection 6 with thread engages, the Projection 6 is part of the base body 2.
- the antenna 1 on the vehicle surface 4 to fix, for example, a hex nut over the projection 6 screwed.
- a seal 8 is arranged. Above all, this seal 8 surrounds the projection 6 in order to prevent Water, moisture, dust or other components through the opening 5 into the interior of the vehicle can penetrate. It is particularly advantageous if the Seal 8 is not inserted when mounting the antenna 1 on the vehicle surface 4 (which is of course also possible), but before installing the antenna 1 the vehicle surface 4 is already arranged on the underside of the base body 2. This is by attaching the seal 8 in a plastic injection molding process on the Bottom of the base body 2 realized. At the same time, the seal 8 takes over Sealing between the base body 2 and the housing 3.
- the seal 8 does not only extend over the underside of the base body 2, but also starting from this in the direction of Projection 6, so that the sealing material on the projection 6 additionally the Seals opening 5.
- the sealing material on the projection 6 can (as far as Contemplation of the figure) extend downwards when screwing the hexagon nut 7 is elastically deformed, with this deformation and the application of force the opening 5 is compressed even more reliably by the hexagon nut 7.
- Figure 2 also shows an antenna 1, in which between the base body 2 and Vehicle surface 4, the seal 8 is present.
- This seal 8 also takes over the seal between the base body 2 and a portion of the housing 3 which will be discussed later.
- the seal 8 has a first partial area 8.1, which is arranged all around in the direct vicinity of the projection 6.
- the cross section of this partial area 8.1 is, for example, essentially circular.
- the sub-area 8.1 is designed so that it is definitely on the underside of the base body 2 and the surface of the vehicle surface 4 comes to rest. In addition, he can, but does not have to, come into contact with the projection 6.
- the seal 8 has a second partial area 8.2, which differs from that Underside of the base body 2 by circumferential recesses not numbered in more detail extends in the base body 2 in the direction of the top of the base body 2. additionally is in the area of the peripheral edge of the base body 2, a third circumferential section 8.3 of the seal 8 is present, this third section 8.3 prevents dirt particles in the area between the base body 2 and Vehicle area 4 can penetrate. This third section 8.3 thus takes over so-called dust seal. Depending on the shape, material and investment power of the third Partial area 8.3 can only take over a dust seal and does not prevent the penetration of moisture into the interior.
- the third section 8.3 can also provide a seal against penetration Represent water.
- the first section takes over 8.1 sealing the opening 5 against penetrating moisture or penetrating Water, while the third section 8.3 the ingress of moisture or water (especially at high vehicle speeds) cannot prevent but the ingress of dirt particles.
- the second section 8.2 of the seal 8 extends through circumferential recesses from the bottom towards the top of the base body 2, with Strength and stabilization of the second sub-area 8.2 a circumferential outer Edge 9 and a circumferential inner edge 10 formed by the base body 2 will be there.
- the breakthrough in the base body 2 and thus connected extension of the second section 8.2 in the direction of the top of the Base body 2 has the purpose that a seal between the base body 2 and the housing 3.
- the housing 3 In the embodiment shown in Figure 2 consists of the housing 3 from an outer wall, the circumferential with its lower edge the top of the base body 2 rests.
- FIG. 2 A particularly advantageous effect of the configuration of the seal 8, as shown in FIG. 2 is shown, on the one hand, that this seal 8 captive on the base body 2 is arranged. If this seal 8 with its several sub-areas in one Spraying process attached to the base body 2, complex assembly steps are omitted and the number of parts is reduced because there is no longer a basic body with two individual parts Seals are present, but only a single basic body, which is already the Seal includes with their required sealing areas. For additional position fixation the seal 8 on the base body 2 can be further in the base body 2 Openings (e.g. holes) are provided in which sealing material is used during the spraying process penetrates and thereby the seal 8 even more reliably in its position on the Secure base body 2.
