- the consumer pours the contents of one of the packages into the other, or the contents of the two packages in a third, within which the mixture is made.
- EP 0 606 429 discloses a two-chamber mixing system insulated by a first rubber piston which, in response to a pressure exerted by a second piston, is pushed from a first position in which it isolates the two products to a single position. second position in which it delimits, in combination with an inner surface of a throttling zone separating the two chambers, a passage capable of allowing the two products to come into contact with one another.
- the device is defined by the features of claim 1 divided into two parts with respect to the prior art according to US-A-2002/0 066 750.
- fluids hydroaulic or liquid or "pneumatic” (air).
- the passage may be a passage located upstream of an outlet of the device, which passage, outside the product distribution phases, must be kept closed as tightly as possible, to prevent any residual product located upstream of the outlet orifice does not dry or oxidize on contact with air.
- the passage may be a passage formed between two compartments formed by the device.
- the device delimits a first compartment containing a first product, and a second compartment, adapted to be disposed at least partly above the first, and containing a second product, a first separation member being adapted to pass from a first position in which it isolates the first product of the second to a second position in which the first product is brought into contact with the second, the device being configured so that the passage of the first separation member from the first to the second position results, at the sensible balance of pressures between the first and second compartments, a volume reduction, especially multidirectional, said first separation member in response to an overpressure generated within one and / or the other of said first and second compartments.
- the separation member is such that it ensures the physical separation of the two products. On the other hand, it must allow the balance of pressures to be made.

- the other product can be in particular in liquid form.
- a low overpressure is sufficient to cause the passage of the latter from the first to the second position.
- the volume reduction is reflected at least by a reduction of the surface of the first separation member, transversely to a longitudinal axis of the device, and this over its entire axial height.
- the separating member in the first position, the separating member is sufficiently large diameter to hold in place by slight tightening, despite the weight of the second product disposed above.
- the separating member compresses in all directions, in particular radially to its axis. As a result, it is no longer clamping, and, under the effect of its weight, added to the weight of the second product, it falls with it into the first container. The two products are then in contact with each other.
- the pressure exerted on the separating member being substantially uniform over its entire outer surface, there is also a slight decrease in the axial height of the separating member. In the latter case, the volume reduction is multidirectional.
- the separating member is made of a material capable of shrinking under the effect of this overpressure, it is therefore able to reduce volume.
- the overpressure is generated in the first compartment when the latter is below the second, the level of first product in the first compartment being such that the passage from the first to the second position takes place before the first product comes into contact with said first separation member.
- the pressure exerted on the separating member is pneumatic.
- the overpressure can be exerted on the compartment disposed above the other.
- the product contained in the compartment above is a liquid, of density greater than the density of the material forming the separating member, then, in response to the overpressure, the separating member decreases in volume, and is no longer held in the position where it isolates the two compartments. It then rises to the surface of the liquid as it mixes with the product contained in the other compartment.
- the pressure exerted on the separation member is hydraulic.
- the first separation member is constituted at least in part by an element formed of an elastically compressible material in response to said overpressure, and at least a portion of the outer surface is impermeable.
- waterproof is meant to be impermeable to the pressurizing fluid, in particular to air.
- the material is a closed-cell foam material. It may be in particular a polyethylene foam, polyester or polyurethane.

- the first separating member is preferably disposed inside a passage formed between the first and second compartments and is, prior to said overpressure, maintained in said first position, by partial compression in at least one direction transverse to said passage, in contact with an inner surface delimiting said passage. Despite this slight compression of the separation member, the air can pass between the lateral surface of the separating member and the inner surface of the passage, thus allowing the achievement of pressure equilibrium.
- the pressure of the first compartment and the second compartment are substantially identical and each in excess pressure relative to the initial pressure of these compartments.
- the separating member disposed between these two compartments is in fact compressed in at least two opposite directions, for example the pressure is at least applied to two opposite sides of this member coming into contact with the inner surface of the passage
- At least one of the walls delimiting one and / or the other of said first and second compartments is elastically deformable so as to be able to generate said overpressure in response to a pressure exerted, laterally or axially, on said resiliently deformable wall.
- At least a portion of one and / or the other of said first and second compartments may form a bellows.
- the pressure to exert is axial.
- the compartment inside which the overpressure is generated is delimited by a container with elastically compressible walls.
- the pressure to be exerted is transverse to the axis.
- the first compartment is delimited by a first container, the second compartment being delimited by a second container, adapted to be mounted on the first, in particular by screwing or snapping.
- the second container then has an opening which, when said first separator member is in the first position, is isolated from the second product by said first separator member.
- said opening prior to mounting the second container on the first, is closed removably by means of closure, in particular in the form of a plug, in particular screwed.
- Means are provided for, prior to mounting the second container on the first, maintain in a fixed position said first member separation.
- the cap As long as the cap is in place on the second container, it axially immobilizes the separating member. Once the cap is removed, when positioning the second container above the first, the second product is retained within the second container by the separating member.
- the second compartment is delimited by an element forming an applicator tip for mixing said products.
- the second compartment is able to communicate with a dispensing orifice which, prior to mixing, is closed by a closure member, in particular in the form of a self-breaking element.
- the device forms a third compartment adapted to be disposed at least partly above the second and containing a third product, said first, second and third products being isolated in pairs by said first separation member. and by a second separating member, said first and second separating members being adapted to pass each of a first position in which they isolate two by two said first, second and third products, at a second position in which the three products are brought into contact with each other, the passage of the first and second separating member from the first position to the second resulting, the sensible balance of pressures between the compartments they respectively separate, a volume reduction multidirectional of said first and second separation member in response to an overpressure generated within one and or the other of said first, second and third compartments.
- the mixture is made by positioning the device so that the second compartment is above the first, the third, above the second, and pressurizing the first.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for packaging at least one cosmetic product. The invention is aimed in particular at a device for the extemporaneous mixing of at least two products in order to produce a composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, as used for example in the field of hair dyeing.
Other applications however can be envisaged. The device may in particular be of the type comprising a container containing the product, the distribution of the latter being obtainable in response to a pressure exerted on the walls of the container, or by means of a manually operated pump equipping the device. With devices of this type, it may be desirable, especially with certain products having a high propensity to dry or oxidize in contact with air, to ensure the sealing of the device dispensing orifice. so that any residual product located in the ducts located upstream of the dispensing orifice is kept out of the air.
In other fields, such as that of hair dyeing, the preparation of a large number of dyeing compositions involves the extemporaneous mixing of two (or even three) products (a dye, an oxidant, optionally a perfume) which, for reasons of of stability must be kept apart from each other until the moment of use of the coloring composition. At least one of the products may be in the form of a powder.
A titre purement illustratif, un dispositif de ce type est décrit dans la demande de brevet FR-A-2 708 913.In recent years have seen, in the field of hair coloring, the appearance of mixing devices, allowing, more or less automatically, the separate packaging of two products, and their extemporaneous mixture at the time of use of the coloring composition. For purely illustrative purposes, a device of this type is described in patent application FR-A-2 708 913.
Such systems are expensive and often sometimes complicated to achieve. The seals between the two compartments containing each product, is sometimes difficult to achieve. In addition, it is sometimes difficult to find materials, compatible with the compounds to be packaged, due to the high aggressiveness of at least some of these.
There are also systems of a more "manual" operation in which each of the products to be mixed is packaged in a packaging of its own, in particular in the form of a tube or a bag. In order to achieve mixing, the consumer pours the contents of one of the packages into the other, or the contents of the two packages in a third, within which the mixture is made.
All these operations are tedious. The risk is great to get dirty when handling products. The risk is also great for the consumer does not respect the correct dosage and is tempted to use the quantities needed for a single application for two or more applications. This results in hair coloring that does not conform to that expected.
Le brevet EP 0 606 429 décrit un système de mélange à deux chambres isolées par un premier piston en caoutchouc qui, en réponse à une pression exercée par un second piston, est poussé d'une première position dans laquelle il isole les deux produits vers une seconde position dans laquelle il délimite, en combinaison avec une surface interne d'une zone d'étranglement séparant les deux chambres, un passage apte à permettre la mise en contact des deux produits.EP 0 606 429 discloses a two-chamber mixing system insulated by a first rubber piston which, in response to a pressure exerted by a second piston, is pushed from a first position in which it isolates the two products to a single position. second position in which it delimits, in combination with an inner surface of a throttling zone separating the two chambers, a passage capable of allowing the two products to come into contact with one another.
The disadvantages of such a structure are numerous. Thus, it is difficult to adapt to the mixture of non-liquid products, in particular in the form of powders. It is limited to the preparation of small volumes. Its operation is not very comfortable, in particular because of the great pressure to exert to force the rubber piston to deform and engage in a portion whose cross section is shaped differently from the shape of the piston.
Also, is it an object of the present invention to provide a packaging device, in particular for extemporaneous mixing of at least two products, which solves all or part of the problems mentioned above with reference to the conventional systems discussed above.
It is particularly an object of the invention to provide such a device which is simple to use and can be produced at low cost.
It is another object of the invention to provide such a device which limits the risks of misuse, and which thereby reduces the risks of obtaining a mixture whose properties do not conform to what is expected. .
Still other objects will appear in the following detailed description.
According to the invention, the device is defined by the features of
Par "fluidique", on entend "hydraulique" (liquide) ou "pneumatique" (air).By "fluidics" is meant "hydraulic" (liquid) or "pneumatic" (air).
The passage may be a passage located upstream of an outlet of the device, which passage, outside the product distribution phases, must be kept closed as tightly as possible, to prevent any residual product located upstream of the outlet orifice does not dry or oxidize on contact with air.
Alternatively, the passage may be a passage formed between two compartments formed by the device. According to this variant, the device delimits a first compartment containing a first product, and a second compartment, adapted to be disposed at least partly above the first, and containing a second product, a first separation member being adapted to pass from a first position in which it isolates the first product of the second to a second position in which the first product is brought into contact with the second, the device being configured so that the passage of the first separation member from the first to the second position results, at the sensible balance of pressures between the first and second compartments, a volume reduction, especially multidirectional, said first separation member in response to an overpressure generated within one and / or the other of said first and second compartments.
Thus, the separation member is such that it ensures the physical separation of the two products. On the other hand, it must allow the balance of pressures to be made.
In practice, the lower the level of tightness required to ensure the physical separation of the two products, the lower the overpressure to be generated, and the more the operation will be comfortable. For this reason, at least the product contained in the second compartment and which, when the second compartment is above the first compartment, rests on the separating member, is preferably in the form of a powder. The other product can be in particular in liquid form.
Due to this configuration of the device, the mixing is extremely simple to implement.
In particular, the fluid pressure exerting substantially uniformly over the entire free surface of the separating member, a low overpressure is sufficient to cause the passage of the latter from the first to the second position.
This is not the case in systems of the type of that described with reference to patent EP 0 606 429, and in which the separating plug is forced to move in response to a pressure exerted unilaterally, the pressure being further transmitted via the product located between the separation cap and the pusher piston. Such pressure exerted on the product, sandwiched between the cap and the piston, can be detrimental to the product, especially when it is a powder.
Preferably, the volume reduction is reflected at least by a reduction of the surface of the first separation member, transversely to a longitudinal axis of the device, and this over its entire axial height. Thus, in the first position, the separating member is sufficiently large diameter to hold in place by slight tightening, despite the weight of the second product disposed above. In response to the pressure exerted in a multidirectional manner, the separating member compresses in all directions, in particular radially to its axis. As a result, it is no longer clamping, and, under the effect of its weight, added to the weight of the second product, it falls with it into the first container. The two products are then in contact with each other.
In the case of a separator of circular cross section, a diameter reduction of some 10 ems mm suffices to obtain the result.
In practice, the pressure exerted on the separating member being substantially uniform over its entire outer surface, there is also a slight decrease in the axial height of the separating member. In the latter case, the volume reduction is multidirectional. The separating member is made of a material capable of shrinking under the effect of this overpressure, it is therefore able to reduce volume.
Preferably, the overpressure is generated in the first compartment when the latter is below the second, the level of first product in the first compartment being such that the passage from the first to the second position takes place before the first product comes into contact with said first separation member. The pressure exerted on the separating member is pneumatic.
Alternatively, the overpressure can be exerted on the compartment disposed above the other. Assuming that the product contained in the compartment above is a liquid, of density greater than the density of the material forming the separating member, then, in response to the overpressure, the separating member decreases in volume, and is no longer held in the position where it isolates the two compartments. It then rises to the surface of the liquid as it mixes with the product contained in the other compartment. In this case, the pressure exerted on the separation member is hydraulic.
Preferably, the first separation member is constituted at least in part by an element formed of an elastically compressible material in response to said overpressure, and at least a portion of the outer surface is impermeable. By "waterproof" is meant to be impermeable to the pressurizing fluid, in particular to air.
More preferably, the material is a closed-cell foam material. It may be in particular a polyethylene foam, polyester or polyurethane.
Preferably, in the second position, said first separating member floats on the surface of the mixture. Thus, the separation member does not disturb the distribution of the mixture.
As indicated above, the first separating member is preferably disposed inside a passage formed between the first and second compartments and is, prior to said overpressure, maintained in said first position, by partial compression in at least one direction transverse to said passage, in contact with an inner surface delimiting said passage. Despite this slight compression of the separation member, the air can pass between the lateral surface of the separating member and the inner surface of the passage, thus allowing the achievement of pressure equilibrium.
The separating member disposed between these two compartments is in fact compressed in at least two opposite directions, for example the pressure is at least applied to two opposite sides of this member coming into contact with the inner surface of the passage
According to a preferred embodiment, at least one of the walls delimiting one and / or the other of said first and second compartments is elastically deformable so as to be able to generate said overpressure in response to a pressure exerted, laterally or axially, on said resiliently deformable wall.
More specifically, at least a portion of one and / or the other of said first and second compartments may form a bellows. In this case, the pressure to exert is axial.
Alternatively, the compartment inside which the overpressure is generated is delimited by a container with elastically compressible walls. In this case, the pressure to be exerted is transverse to the axis.
According to a specific embodiment, the first compartment is delimited by a first container, the second compartment being delimited by a second container, adapted to be mounted on the first, in particular by screwing or snapping.
The second container then has an opening which, when said first separator member is in the first position, is isolated from the second product by said first separator member.
Advantageously, said opening, prior to mounting the second container on the first, is closed removably by means of closure, in particular in the form of a plug, in particular screwed.
Means are provided for, prior to mounting the second container on the first, maintain in a fixed position said first member separation.
- i) a portion of the plug; and
- ii) on the other hand, an axial stop located on the side of the first separator member opposite the stopper.
Thus, as long as the cap is in place on the second container, it axially immobilizes the separating member. Once the cap is removed, when positioning the second container above the first, the second product is retained within the second container by the separating member.
Advantageously, the second compartment is delimited by an element forming an applicator tip for mixing said products.
Preferably, the second compartment is able to communicate with a dispensing orifice which, prior to mixing, is closed by a closure member, in particular in the form of a self-breaking element.
According to another embodiment, the device forms a third compartment adapted to be disposed at least partly above the second and containing a third product, said first, second and third products being isolated in pairs by said first separation member. and by a second separating member, said first and second separating members being adapted to pass each of a first position in which they isolate two by two said first, second and third products, at a second position in which the three products are brought into contact with each other, the passage of the first and second separating member from the first position to the second resulting, the sensible balance of pressures between the compartments they respectively separate, a volume reduction multidirectional of said first and second separation member in response to an overpressure generated within one and or the other of said first, second and third compartments.
Preferably, the mixture is made by positioning the device so that the second compartment is above the first, the third, above the second, and pressurizing the first.
The second and third products may be packaged separately from each other, in the same container, in particular in an applicator tip.
Advantageously, the (or) product (s) contained in the (or) compartment (s) other (s) than that inside which is generated said overpressure, is (are) in powder form. Thus, the first product may be an oxidant in liquid form. The second product may be a dye in the form of a powder. The third product may be a perfume composition, in the form of a powder as well.
According to another aspect, the present application relates to a device for the extemporaneous mixing of at least two products, the device forming a first compartment containing a first product and a second compartment, adapted to be arranged at least partly above the first, and containing a second product, a separating member being adapted to move from a first position in which it isolates the first product from the second to a second position in which the first product is brought into contact with the second, the device being configured to so that the passage of the separating member from the first position to the second results from an overpressure generated in one or the other of said first and second compartments, characterized in that said separating member, when its passage from the first position to the second, moves towards the compartment inside which the overpressure is generated.
As indicated above, the device according to the invention can be used for producing a mixture intended to form a cosmetic composition, in particular for hair dyeing.

In the vicinity of its end opposite to the self-breaking

- i) to provide on the inner surface of the
shoulder 14, an annular rib (not shown), so as to reduce the risk of formation, before use of the device, of a liquid film between the lateral surface of thefoam block 20 and the inner surface of thecylindrical portion 13; and - ii) to effect mixing in the head-down position of the device, the material forming the
foam block 20 being of a lower density than that of the liquid contained in thecontainer 2.
- i) the
container 2 is elastically deformable walls in response to a pressure exerted on the container, substantially perpendicular to the axis X; and - ii) substantially at mid-height between the
cylindrical portion 13 of thenozzle 10, and the self-breakingtip 40, theapplicator tip 10 has anothercylindrical portion 41, of internal diameter slightly smaller than the internal diameter of theportion cylindrical 13. Thecylindrical portion 41 is separated from the portion of the applicator tip adjacent to the self-breakingelement 40 by anannular shoulder 42. Inside thecylindrical portion 41 is disposed a block offoam 50 similar to thefoam block 20, and aface 51 is in axial abutment against theshoulder 42. Thus, in the mounted position of theapplicator tip 10 of thecontainer 2, thefoam block 20 separates thecompartment 9 defined by thecontainer 2 of thecompartment 12 formed in the lower part of theapplicator tip 10. Thefoam block 50 separates thecompartment 12 from acompartment 43 formed in the upper part of the applicator tip.Compartment 9 contains a coloring oxidant in liquid form.Compartment 12 contains a dye in the form of a powder. Thecompartment 43 contains a perfuming agent in the form of a powder.
The rest of the device is similar to what has been described with reference to the previous embodiment. As a result, its detailed description will not be repeated here.
In use, initially, everything happens in accordance with what has been described for the first embodiment with reference to Figures 3A and 3B.
The remainder of the process is illustrated with reference to Figures 5A-5D to which reference is now made.
In practice, the two mouse blocks fall slightly sequentially, the
In Figure 5B, the three products are mixed inside the
In FIG. 5D, the mixture is conventionally applied to the hair by compressing the deformable body of the
In the foregoing detailed description, reference has been made to preferred embodiments of the invention. It is obvious that variations can be made without departing from the subject of the invention as claimed hereinafter.
