Definitions
- the invention relates to an anatomically designed Mattress on the basis of a one-piece connected Foam body of generally flat cuboid shape with two in the use position essentially main surfaces to be positioned horizontally, namely one Bottom face and one top face, still with two in the position of use essentially vertical transverse lateral surfaces, namely a transverse side surface close to the head and a transverse side surface near the foot, and continue with two essentially again in the position of use vertical long side surfaces, the top surface - in Viewed from above - on both sides of a vertical longitudinal median plane a hip-rest area, one Shoulder rest area, a head rest area and one Has leg-footrest area.
- a mattress which is made of different latex Density is established.
- the finished mattress has one thicker latex consisting of firmer central area and one Less dense latex existing softer edge area.
- the Manufactured in such a way that the two latex materials in liquid state can be poured into a foam mold, which then at the same time vulcanized to the mattress.
- With pens in the foam form an attempt is made to merge the differently dense latex materials to limit.
- a certain confluence must be with regard to the structural strength of the mattress can be accepted can not be completely prevented by pens anyway.
- AU-A-4 12 227 is one of several foam layers manufactured mattress known, with reference to a lower lying Cut out sections in the upper layer covering this are to provide a height profile adapted to the body of a user.
- Foam layer parts can be inserted into the recesses with appropriate Dimensions are used that have a different density or have different strength.
- the attachment of the layers and possibly the Layer pieces filling recesses are made by means of double-button-like Connecting elements (elements 14, Fig. 6).
- From CH-A-493 241 is a foam mattress referred to as one piece known in which a rhomboid-shaped middle part made of foam better quality than triangular side parts, which are on the middle part are stuck.
- an exercise and therapy pillow which in is substantially circular cylindrical.
- Filling material such as foam rubber
- a core of solid material such as Hard rubber, embedded.
- the filling material including the one embedded in it
- the core is sewn into a sleeve made of flexible material, such as fabric.
- the Patent specification contains no information about the consistency or structure of the Filling material and the way in which the core is embedded in the filling material.
- an object of the present invention is a mattress to provide with compressive stiffness properties with a view to Stabilized seating on the long sides of the mattress or / and Regarding the sleeping comfort of a person lying on the mattress is adapted without significant restrictions with regard to the structural strength of the mattress must be accepted.
- the invention proposes that Increasing the compressive rigidity of the foam body in the longitudinal side area compared to the stiffness of the foam body in the Hip-back support area and / or to reduce the pressure rigidity of the foam body in at least a partial area of the shoulder support area compared to the pressure rigidity in the hip-back support area the coherent foam body at the corresponding Position contains a preformed foam filler, which in the contiguous foam body by inserting it correctly into a cuboid foam shape and subsequent foaming of the remaining volume of the foam mold is installed.
- a preformed foam filler at the appropriate position is contained in the (coherent) foam body and this Foam filler in the (coherent) foam body correct insertion of the foam filler into a cuboid Foaming mold and subsequent foaming of the remaining volume of the Foam mold is installed, the foam of the Filler and the adjacent foam of the foam body during mattress manufacturing. Accordingly, it needs Foam mold used for mattress production no barriers or Have pins for separating the foam materials from one another, the unstable transition zones, especially perforation zones, in the foam body could create. Therefore, despite the use of different foam materials for the foam body on the one hand and for the filler, on the other hand, a high structural strength for the finished mattress reached.
- stiffeners on both long sides also ensures that the user inevitably has a Lying position between the two stiffeners, i.e. in the Area of the vertical median longitudinal plane. Farther is due to the in the area of the two long sides provided stiffeners of the bed while sleeping in the Stabilized area of the vertical longitudinal median plane, see above that the risk of falling out of bed at too strong lateral displacement of the body to one Longitudinal side area is minimized.
- the arrangement of stiffeners in the area of the two Longitudinal side surfaces also has the advantage of being independent from the spatial allocation of the mattress respectively of the bed frame equipped with the mattress the longitudinal side surface exposed at the start a seating area is available.
- Another advantage of stabilizing the mattress i.e. the increased stiffness near the vertical long side surfaces and in the area of the hip backrest can also can be seen in the fact that near the lying one Seating provided for a visitor or reader is.
- the compressive rigidity can of the foam body according to the invention in at least one partial area of the shoulder rest area has a lower compressive stiffness than in a hip-back support area and possibly as a head support area exhibit.
- a design is known per se and was previously in executed in such a way that the mentioned portion of the shoulder rest area was carried out with a cavity that was filled with air.
- Foam body now by inserting a pre-formed foam filler achieved in the manner mentioned.
- the resulting one Compressive rigidity in the shoulder rest area or in its partial area results from the pressure stiffness of the mattress base and the filler and the relative wall thicknesses of the same.
- the sub-area reduced pressure rigidity does not extend across the entire width of the Foam body between the opposing longitudinal side surfaces, but only over a partial area between these long side surfaces, preferably over a portion that is symmetrical with respect to the vertical longitudinal median plane. Then you have in this area created a possibility of easier sinking of the shoulder, but only in this area and not in this area adjacent neighboring areas close to the long side surfaces. With that occurs a centering effect.
- the respective preformed is installed Foam filler in such a way that the filler in advance in the foam is inserted for the mattress body, so that it is in the subsequent Foaming the foamable material filled into the mold completely or is partially foamed.
- the mattress can be designed in such a way that on both sides of the vertical central longitudinal plane of the central hip and backrest area a seating area adjoins the two long sides here, the Compression stiffness of the foam body within the central hip-backrest area is essentially constant and also in the seating areas is essentially constant, however, larger than in the central region of the hip and back support.
- the seating areas with one of the foam of the hip backrest central area different foam are filled, which has greater compressive rigidity than the foam of the central hip-backrest area.
- the foam of the seating areas can be on the total cuboid height from the foam of the central hip backrest area to be different.
- the seating areas in one a transverse plane parallel to the two transverse side surfaces have the greatest approximation and with increasing distance from this transverse plane to the transverse side surface close to the head and to increasing cross-sectional foot area near the foot, if possible keep increasing distance from each other.
- a course of the border proves to be favorable at the boundaries between the central hip backrest area and the two seating areas Approximately run along arcs of a circle, which to the vertical longitudinal median plane are convex Centers of these arcs outside the respective associated longitudinal side surface. If here from Circular arcs is mentioned, so the term circular arc in Meaning of an edge and corner-free border be understood par excellence, the arcs also be replaced by other similar geometric shapes can, for example, by elliptical arches.
- the location of the seating areas is important: These seating areas are preferably placed in such a way that one Mattress dimensions of 100 cm x 200 cm the seating areas, and their ends close to the foot, to the transverse side surface near the foot a distance of approx. 75 cm to 85 cm, preferably approx. 80 cm and their ends close to the head to the transverse side surface close to the head a distance of about 65 cm to about 75 cm preferably about 70 cm. This results in the length a dimension of the seating area of increased pressure rigidity of approx. 50 cm. This measure is sufficient to achieve the above Opportunities to realize.
- the seating areas should be in the middle of their respective areas
- the transverse plane should be the closest approximation the seating areas from the transverse side surface near the foot a distance of about 100 cm to about 110 cm is preferred about 105 cm.
- the Distance of the shoulder rest area namely the distance its end near the foot, from the transverse side surface near the foot approx. 125 cm to approx. 135 cm, preferably approx. 130 cm and the distance of the end of the head near the head Shoulder rest area from the transverse side surface close to the head approx. 30 cm to approx. 40 cm, preferably approx. 35 cm.
- these dimensions should each be from the boundaries of the shoulder receiving area be calculated in which the reduced Stiffness begins or stops.
- the dimensions are here again under the prerequisite Basic dimensions of 200 cm x 100 cm of the mattress body specified and change with other basic dimensions of the Mattress body according to corresponding similarity relations.
- the pressure rigidity of the foam body over the total surface extension of the top surface or Bottom surface with the exception of any seating areas and one any shoulder rest area is substantially constant is, i.e. So through a foam material the same material composition and homogeneous structure is.
- the foam body over the entire Top surface or bottom surface on its whole Height is uniform in terms of material and structurally homogeneous, again excluding only any seating areas and a any shoulder rest area of less Compression rigidity.
- a such integral skin can be used in the manufacture of the foam body by foaming foamable material and subsequent hardening within this form appropriate temperature control during the process be preserved.
- the top surface of the foam body at least in the central hip backrest area but preferably also in at least part of the foot-leg support area and / or in at least part of the To provide shoulder support area with a profiling.
- profiling is known per se. she can also from one field from each other in a known manner neighboring truncated pyramids.
- such a profiling in an area of the top surface in front of the transverse side surface close to the foot Distance of approx. 10 cm and from the transverse side surface close to the head has a distance of approx. 35 cm and the other a distance from the two long side surfaces from about 15 cm to about 25 cm each, preferably about 20 cm possesses, again under the condition of a basic mattress size of 200 cm x 100cm.
- the height of the foam body can vary depending on the Compression stiffness between approx. 8 cm and approx. 20 cm preferably approx. 12 cm.
- the foam body can be made of synthetic foam, for example made of polyurethane foam or latex foam consist of, or a combination of both.
- the Shore hardness of the foam can be coordinated to the respective height of the foam body Generating a certain degree of pressure rigidity Limits are varied in accordance with the respective The patient's need for stiffness.
- the foam body can be of one essentially closed envelope essentially completely enclosed be, the shell should be shaped so that the outer shape of the foam body as possible easily adapts and therefore slightly covered can be formed without wrinkles when coated.
- the sheath should be woven, knitted or tiled Textile material made to be as possible to allow comfortable lying.
- the lying properties the mattress can still be improved in that the shell as at least in the area of the top surface two-layer quilted cover is formed, both Layers preferably again made of textile material from the above mentioned type exist. But it is also conceivable, at least one of the layers from one to manufacture moisture-impermeable material to take account of incontinence from lying people.
- the Topstitch cells can be used in the case of a two-layer Quilted construction with a natural fiber filling or with a washable synthetic fiber filling. Quality Washability of the filling and the covering material is especially with a view to avoiding house dust allergies desirable.
- the synthetic fiber fillings are particularly suitable for washing. On the other hand natural fiber fillings impart effective moisture absorption and good air circulation.
- the mattress according to the invention is ideal for Combination with so-called neck support pillows, which in the Middle region of their transverse extent either a trough have or by corresponding reduced stiffness in this area to form troughs under the load of the Tilt the head or neck of the person lying down.
- seating areas can be aligned of the body of the person lying on either side of the vertical Reach the median longitudinal plane, which is medically known has proven advantageous and also the risk of prevents falling out of bed from the side.
- Such a mattress has considerable advantages in use.
- a hollow cross forcing is used in the mattress according to the invention avoided.
- the seating areas provide stabilization the lying person in the central longitudinal area won, without - thanks to the arched design - the lying comfort is affected when approaching eccentric positions.
- a foam of greater hardness is provided, or in other words, the foam in the Areas e-f-q and h-g-r has a larger elastic Compression stiffness than the foam in the adjacent Areas.
- the greater elastic compression stiffness in the Areas e-f-q and h-g-r could be achieved by either during the manufacture of the mattress body by foaming notches in the areas e-f-g and h-g-r are formed, or that after producing a fully cuboid mattress body in the Longitudinal side surfaces 20 and 22 cutouts along the lines e-f-q and h-g-r can be cut, which overlap the extend the entire height H. Then would then in the cutouts e-f-q and h-g-r formed in this way Foam body made of the higher foam elastic pressure stiffness welded or glued. This procedure is outside the invention.
- the mattress body is in relation to the longitudinal plane of symmetry 24 symmetrical.
- central shoulder rest area m-s-t-n could be a through hole formed by the longitudinal side surfaces 20 passes through to the longitudinal side surfaces 22. This Hole could already form during the molding of the mattress body 10 are formed, but it could also be added later Mattress body 10 continuously from the long side surfaces 20 are cut to the longitudinal side surfaces 22.
- Within the central shoulder rest area m-s-t-n could be a foam filler 26 in the hole thus formed Are used, which lower elastic compression stiffness than the other areas of the mattress body 10.
- the foam filler 26 could be from the long side surfaces Go through 20 to the longitudinal side surfaces 22.
- FIG. 1 It can be seen from FIG. 1 that in the areas e-f-q and h-g-r seating areas are created. These seating areas center the body of the person lying down, at least in the hip-back support area to the central area l-m-n-o. In addition, the bed user can climb the Bed with his buttocks on one of the seating areas Put e-f-q and h-g-r, and then by rotating it the lying position in the central area k-s-t-p take in.
- the top surface 12 has a Field of truncated pyramid-shaped projections 28, whose stump surfaces are flush with the remaining top surface 12. Between the truncated pyramidal projections 28 are accordingly Furrows 30 formed, which also ventilation under the Enable the body of the person lying down and the person lying down, especially a long-term patient Preserve pressure ulcers.
- a visitor can also sit in the seating areas e-f-q and h-g-r or take a seat and read a stable one Find sitting position thanks to the higher elasticity Pressure stiffness of the foam in these areas.
- Figure 2 leaves a plurality in the bottom surface 14 recognize from holes 32. These holes come from bars forth, arranged in the frothing mold on the bottom are to ensure a quick and even supply of heat when To allow foaming and hardening of the foam. These pens can also be used to when inserting the preformed foam bodies for the formation of the seating areas e-f-q and h-g-r these preformed Position foam body. Can also they may also be used to position the foam packing 26 can be used if this in pre-formed Form before the formation of the rest of the mattress body is introduced into its foam form.
- FIG. 2 also shows that the mattress of one Cover 34 is included in the area of the top surface 12 as a two-layer quilt cover with padding Filling material in the individual step cells 36 executed is and in the region of the transverse side surface 16 close to the head Has Velcro or zipper 38.
- This Velcro or zipper 38 extends preferably over at least two, preferably over three of the a total of four longitudinal and transverse side surfaces 20, 22, 16, 18 to insert the mattress body 10 into the cover to facilitate and the most exact possible dimensional adjustment make the coating on the mattress body 10 can.
- the cover 34 quilted on top surface 12 forming layers can be textile webs. You can but also be impermeable to protect the Mattress and the filling material of the step cells 36 against to form the penetration of liquid.
- FIG 3 you can see a neck support pillow 40, the Area s-v-u-t of Figure 1 relocated and if necessary is centered by Velcro or the like.
- This neck support pillow 40 is shaped or due to lower elastic pressure rigidity in the area of Longitudinal plane 24 designed so that it under the Pressure of the neck or head of the person lying down Indentation 42 forms which, on the one hand, is convenience on the other hand, however, the achievement of a centering effect serves.
- the dimensions x 1 to x 7 are shown in the figures. These dimensions are shown in the table below.
