Definitions
- the invention is directed to a sales package of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1. With these packages, the articles are to be aligned, ordered and sorted so that the customer gains a good overview of the contents of the package. In addition, the package is intended to enable the customer to easily remove the item one by one.
- a sales package of this type (US-A-3967730) consisted of a deep-drawn cover sheet which had a wave-shaped profile field for receiving the articles and a flat cardboard support plate. The two parts were glued over the entire surface and without interruptions, so that there was an airtight seal of the goods to be sold within the package. Since the wave troughs of the wave profile from the cover sheet did not rest on the support plate and were not firmly attached there, there was only low rigidity or dimensional stability of the finished sales package. Opening the package was also problematic.
- the corresponding section of the cover sheet had to be bent away, which in many cases led to a further, undesirable tearing open of the package and made it difficult to reclose it securely, since the support plate and cover plate, once bent, bulged away from one another constantly.
- the captive nature of the remaining goods in the packaging was no longer guaranteed.
- the cover sheet was bent away, especially with larger bending angles, a fold was formed which pressed on the immediately adjacent zone of the wave profile field and could cause pressure damage to the goods to be sold. This effect was favored by the shape of the well-known sales packaging.
- a known sales package of another type (GB-A-1 469 404) had a uniformly deep-drawn cover sheet which completely enclosed the goods to be sold when closed.
- the fixed connection between the support plate and cover sheet was made on a small area below the goods held in the support plate. Since the support plate had several folded edges and the marginal surface zones of the cover sheet and support plate, which in the closed state bounded the sides and above essentially only loosely to one another, there was only a very small amount in the original and closed state Dimensional stability of the sales package. Because of this instability, the sales package was not suitable as a permanent storage container, especially since the cardboard support plate, once it was kinked along the fold edges that were present several times, also lost dimensional stability.
- the invention has for its object to develop an inexpensive, convenient and reliable to handle sales package of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, which can be easily and easily opened without damaging the goods to be sold and which in the open state is easy to remove in parts and also Allow reintroduction of the selected item.
- the sales package should have sufficient dimensional stability and rigidity to serve as a permanent storage container for the needles. According to the invention, this is essentially achieved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1, which have the following special meaning.
- the cover sheet and the support plate are each divided into two height sections that are different in terms of structure and function, which form a lower and an upper packing section on the one hand.
- a firm, non-detachable connection between the edge surface zones of the support plate and the cover sheet is only in the lower pack section, where they form a lower C-shaped frame part.
- the valleys of the wave profile field are also brought up to the support plate and connected there.
- the bottom one gets closed Pack section a particularly pronounced stiffness, which makes it particularly suitable as a permanent storage container for the articles.
- the handling of the sales package is promoted for the following reasons.
- the edge area zones between the support plate and the cover sheet lie essentially loosely against one another and determine a C-shaped frame part that is easy to open.
- the mentioned folding edge in the support plate runs in the invention in exact alignment with the boundary line between the lower and upper packing section. Along this boundary line there is also a defined, hinge-like crease edge in the cover sheet and is determined by kinking aids. Because the folded edge in the support plate forms exactly the boundary line between the dimensionally stable lower pack section and the hinged upper pack section, along which the cover sheet is also provided with a folded edge, the upper pack section can be opened in mirror image.
- the folds occurring in the prior art at this point are basically avoided by the kinking aids in the cover sheet - which indeed define the kinking edge there. If the upper pack section with the two areas of its support plate and its cover sheet is fully opened, then the articles stuck in the dimensionally stable and rigid lower pack section protrude freely and can be gripped on both sides and pulled out of the lower pack section without damage, which makes it possible now is to remove the article without hindrance in a particularly convenient and reliable manner. It is also easier to reintroduce the article.
- the sales package can therefore be used as a storage container for the articles.
- the profile could also be provided in the support plate instead of in the area of the cover sheet.
- the sales package shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 consists of two components 10, 11, namely a flat support plate 11 designed here as a printed cardboard card and a specially profiled cover sheet 10 made of transparent film.
- the sales package serves to accommodate a group of sewing needles 12, which are arranged in parallel and at the same distance from each other.
- the cover sheet 10 is profiled under heat, which results in a deep-drawn blister.
- This initially comprises a field 23 with a wave profile, which merges into an adjacent field 26 with an even, deep-drawn space, the flat bottom wall of which produces a viewing window 14.
- These fields 23, 26 are delimited by flat edge surface zones 24, 24 'in the wave profile region 23 and 25, 25' in the region of the viewing window 14, which in the original closed pack according to FIG. 1 rest on corresponding edge surface zones on the display surface 27 of the support plate 11, however in different from each other Wise.
- the edge surface zone 24 lying below the wave profile field 23 and the edge surface zones 24 ′ arranged on both sides thereof are connected to one another over the entire surface.
- the display surface 27 of the support plate 11 is provided with a sealing region 18, indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1, which is also used to attach the "wave troughs" lying in the wave profile 23, which come into contact with the display surface 27 of the support plate 11.
- the intermediate "wave crests" of this profile 23 then produce separate, upwardly open chambers, which is why they can be aptly referred to as "quivers 13" and serve to receive the sewing needles 12 to be packed piece by piece.
- a tightly closed, lower frame part 28 is produced from the two parts 10, 11 in the contour area of the edge surface zones 24, 24 'which are connected in pairs and which is characterized by particular stability and dimensional stability.
- the mutually contacting edge surface zones 25, 25 ' apart from a small sealing point 19 serving as a seal for the original sales package, remain unconnected and therefore essentially only produce loosely adjacent areas which form a supplementary, C-shaped upper frame part 29 produce.
- the frame parts 28, 29 adjoin one another with a straight line. Exactly aligned with this boundary line, the support plate 11 has a prepared folding edge 17, which, after the seal 19 has been torn open, according to FIG. Aligned with this, however, the profiled cover sheet 10 also has buckling aids 16, which are produced here from U-shaped dents in the blister film, in the edge region of which they open out and whose U apex is directed away from the support plate 11.
- the two flaps 50, 29 can be folded together again, in the direction of the two arrows 51, 51 ', the closed position being able to be secured by a strap lock or the like.
- the support plate 11 has a pre-punched tab 20 in the edge region of the upper frame web 25 which, in the original-packed container, still runs in the plane of the plate. If the package has been torn open at the sealing point 19, the sealing flap 20 can be placed over the upper frame web 25 of the half frame 29 by bending out or by angling the support plate end piece, as can be seen from FIG. 3. Then this frame web 25 is enclosed between the tab 20 and the other rear areas of the support plate 11. There is again a container for the sewing needles 12 secured in its closed position.
- the frame web 25 can also be provided with a self-adhesive strip (not shown here in more detail) which, after the pack has been broken open, ensures that the two pack parts 10, 11 are held together.
- the support plate 11 is provided with a hanging hole 21, with which the sales package can be hung on the support arm of a sales device, which is not known and is known per se.
- the pack can be viewed by the customer and he sees the following areas of the various sewing needles 12 held in the wave profile field 23.
- the eye-side needle end appears in the already mentioned viewing window 14, but also the opposite needle tip appears in a viewing area 15, which is generated by the bottom wall of a flat channel 52 in the profiled cover sheet 10. This channel 52 runs parallel to the lower fixed frame web 24 and adjoins the corrugated profile field 23.
- the corrugated profile field traverses a groove 53, preferably parallel to the folded edges 17, 17 ', in the cover sheet 10, in which an insert 22 consisting of elastic material is arranged eg consists of a felt strip.
- an insert 22 consisting of elastic material is arranged eg consists of a felt strip.
- the felt strip 22 presses the needles 12 against the one inner wall of the quiver with a secure frictional connection.
- the needle position formed when filling the quiver 13 is thus also permanently maintained by this clamping means 22 without disturbing end stops or other built-in obstructions on the sewing needle 12 which would obstruct the good view.
- the customer can check whether the sales package has already been tampered with beforehand.

Description
The invention is directed to a sales package of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1. With these packages, the articles are to be aligned, ordered and sorted so that the customer gains a good overview of the contents of the package. In addition, the package is intended to enable the customer to easily remove the item one by one.
A sales package of this type (US-A-3967730) consisted of a deep-drawn cover sheet which had a wave-shaped profile field for receiving the articles and a flat cardboard support plate.
The all-round, full-surface and firm adhesive connection made it difficult to tear open, on the one hand, and on the other hand, it was not always guaranteed that the cover sheet could be detached from the support plate. When tearing, cardboard surface layers of the support plate could adhere to the cover sheet, so that free access to the goods to be sold was still not possible. Furthermore, the sales package could open uncontrollably when opened, in extreme cases even completely, which precluded its further use as a storage container. The removal of the articles from the sales package was also problematic. Although the support plate could be bent at a folded edge, in most cases the goods alone could not be removed. For this purpose, the corresponding section of the cover sheet had to be bent away, which in many cases led to a further, undesirable tearing open of the package and made it difficult to reclose it securely, since the support plate and cover plate, once bent, bulged away from one another constantly. The captive nature of the remaining goods in the packaging was no longer guaranteed. In addition, when the cover sheet was bent away, especially with larger bending angles, a fold was formed which pressed on the immediately adjacent zone of the wave profile field and could cause pressure damage to the goods to be sold. This effect was favored by the shape of the well-known sales packaging.
A known sales package of another type (GB-A-1 469 404) had a uniformly deep-drawn cover sheet which completely enclosed the goods to be sold when closed. The fixed connection between the support plate and cover sheet was made on a small area below the goods held in the support plate. The removal of the goods to be sold, such as sewing needles, could only be carried out on one side, since the cover sheet could not be bent away from the needles, and the individual reintroduction of an article was problematic, since a textile was arranged on the back of the support plate Rag, which protruded with a section through an opening of the support plate, or an offset of the support plate had to be pierced twice.
The invention has for its object to develop an inexpensive, convenient and reliable to handle sales package of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, which can be easily and easily opened without damaging the goods to be sold and which in the open state is easy to remove in parts and also Allow reintroduction of the selected item. In addition, the sales package should have sufficient dimensional stability and rigidity to serve as a permanent storage container for the needles. According to the invention, this is essentially achieved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1, which have the following special meaning.
The cover sheet and the support plate are each divided into two height sections that are different in terms of structure and function, which form a lower and an upper packing section on the one hand. A firm, non-detachable connection between the edge surface zones of the support plate and the cover sheet is only in the lower pack section, where they form a lower C-shaped frame part. In this lower section of the pack, however, the valleys of the wave profile field are also brought up to the support plate and connected there. Similar to corrugated cardboard, the bottom one gets closed Pack section a particularly pronounced stiffness, which makes it particularly suitable as a permanent storage container for the articles. At the same time, the handling of the sales package is promoted for the following reasons.
Although the upper pack section is constructed in an analogous manner, the edge area zones between the support plate and the cover sheet lie essentially loosely against one another and determine a C-shaped frame part that is easy to open. The mentioned folding edge in the support plate runs in the invention in exact alignment with the boundary line between the lower and upper packing section. Furthermore, the folds occurring in the prior art at this point are basically avoided by the kinking aids in the cover sheet - which indeed define the kinking edge there. The sales package can therefore be used as a storage container for the articles. The profile could also be provided in the support plate instead of in the area of the cover sheet.

- the renewed closing state of an already opened sales package, which can then be used as a storage container for the needles.
The sales package shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 consists of two
The
The
Then the two
In the upper end region, the
In some cases it could also be desirable to provide the profiles described above in both components of the sales package, namely both in the cover sheet and in the support plate.

Claims (8)
- A sales pack for elongate hard haberdashery articles, in particular sewing needles (12), having a holding means for individually positioning the articles in a parallel position, possibly sorted in accordance with their lengths,
which holding means is formed from a plate-like carrier (carrier plate 11) on the rear side and possibly having a suspension hole (21) for a self-service arrangement, and
a sheet-like cover means (cover sheet 10) of foil material on the visible side which permits a free view at least in a region-wise manner on to the articles (12) which are positioned in the holding means,
the carrier plate (11) has in the region of the height of the article holding means a prepared fold edge (17) for bending away the upper plate portion (50) disposed thereabove,
and the cover sheet (10) includes on the one hand a profiled panel portion having corrugation troughs and peaks (corrugation profile panel portion 23), wherein the corrugation peaks each form a respective compartment (13) for individually receiving the respective article (12), and on the other hand has a panel portion with a deep-drawn space and a flat viewing window (viewing window panel portion 26),
both panel portions (23, 26) are bounded in a frame-like configuration by flat edge surface zones (24, 24'; 25, 25'), the edge surface zones (24, 24'; 25, 25') of the carrier plate (11) and the cover sheet (10) bear against each other, have connections and form both a lower C-shaped frame portion (28) in the region of the corrugation profile panel portion (23) and also an upper C-shaped frame portion (29) in the region of the viewing window panel portion (26),
wherein the upper C-shaped frame portion (29) can be pivoted open in mirror image relationship with and in opposition to the bending-away movement of the upper plate portion (50),
characterised in that
the connection between the edge surface zones (24, 24') of the carrier plate (11) and the cover sheet (10) is admittedly made only in the lower C-shaped frame portion (28)
but there the troughs of the corrugation profile panel portion (23) also bear against the carrier plate (11) and are connected thereto and form a lower pack portion which is rigid in respect of shape,
and that in the region of the upper C-shaped frame portion (29) the edge surface zones (25, 25') of the carrier plate (11) and the cover sheet (10) lie substantially loosely against each other and therefore form an open upper pack portion which can be pivoted open
because the fold edge (17) in the carrier plate (11) forms a boundary line between the lower and upper pack portions, along which the cover sheet (10) has a hinge-like bend edge (17') for its upper portion to be bent away in mirror image relationship. - A sales pack according to claim 1 characterised in that the bend edge (17') in the cover sheet (10) is defined by bending aids (16) at the edges, which are produced by deep-drawing of the foil material.
- A sales pack according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the corrugation profile panel portion (23) has a channel (53) extending thereacross in the cover sheet (10) for receiving an insert (22) and the insert is in itself elastically flexible and also bears against the article (12) only with surface contact but with a high level of frictional engagement and secures the axial and/or radial position thereof in the compartment (13).
- A sales pack according to one or more of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the cover sheet (10) and the carrier plate (11) are provided in places (19) with a tear-open connection in the region of the releasable upper frame portion (29), in particular at the upper frame limb part (25) thereof, which connection acts as a sealing-integrity means for the original sales pack.
- A sales pack according to one or more of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that the connections between the carrier plate (11) and the cover sheet (10) comprise a seal (18).
- A sales pack according to one or more of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that between the carrier plate (11) and the cover sheet (10) an upper releasable connection is formed from a flap which in particular is pre-stamped and which can be bent away and which engages over the upper edge of the cover sheet (10) or the carrier plate (11) respectively to provide a closure effect (Figure 3).
- A sales pack according to one or more of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that between the carrier plate (11) and the cover sheet (10) an upper releasable connection is formed from a self-adhesive layer which is disposed on the one inside surface and which in particular is disposed on the upper frame limb part (25) of the releasable upper frame portion (29) and which serves as a closure element for the sales pack when it has been broken open.
- A sales pack according to one or more of claims 1 to 7 characterised in that the bend aids (16) of the cover sheet (10) are produced by U-shaped indentations in the plastics foil, which are oriented in the direction in which the bend edges (17' and 17 respectively) extend and which open at the edge of the foil and the apex of the U-shape configuration of which is directed away from the oppositely disposed inside surface of the carrier plate (11), which inside surface covers over the U-shape opening of the indentations (see Figure 1).
