Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dispenser according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such a dispenser is known from US-A-44 79 592.
  • the inner sleeve on the top of the dispenser has an end wall with the outlet opening.
  • the end wall projecting beyond the outer housing also serves as an actuating element.
  • the inner sleeve of this known dispenser is displaced relative to the outer housing and to the bottom thereof.
  • the spreading spring supports the piston on the lifting rod with its inner, bottom-facing edge area.
  • the outlet-side end wall thus moves against the piston, which cannot move due to the spreading spring.
  • the filling located in the inner sleeve is pressurized and forced out of the front opening.
  • a return spring designed as a compression spring is provided on the bottom inside the outer housing, which also acts on the inner sleeve and moves it against a stop limiting the restoring movement.
  • This return spring provided in the interior of the known dispenser also requires space in its compressed, deformed position, so that only a limited displacement path is available for displacing the inner sleeve in the outer housing. Accordingly, the filling material can only be removed from the known dispenser in each case in comparatively small, generally identical portions. Also, the restoring force of the return spring must be overcome in a dispensing process, which complicates the handling of this dispenser.
  • the dispenser according to the invention consists of only a few, simple parts and is nevertheless functionally reliable to operate without the restoring force of a return spring also having to be overcome during a dispensing process. Rather, the gripping part of the dispenser according to the invention provided on the inner sleeve and projecting beyond the outer housing can be grasped and the inner sleeve can be pulled out of the outer housing to such an extent that the inner sleeve has a sufficient displacement path for a new dispensing operation.
  • the portion to be removed during the subsequent dispensing process can be dosed to a desired portion.
  • the displacement path is not limited by a return spring or any other return element, so that comparatively large portions can also be removed from the dispenser according to the invention.
  • a simple and advantageous embodiment according to the invention provides that the inner sleeve projects beyond the outer housing and is preferably connected in one piece to the actuating element and the gripping part in its projecting area.
  • the actuating element and the gripping part which are both pressure and tensile, in particular integrally connected to the inner sleeve
  • the user of the dispenser according to the invention can trigger the dispensing process himself and then reset the actuating element and the inner sleeve carrying it, for example by pulling back the inner sleeve on the gripping part accomplish. This favors the compact design and the simple construction of the dispenser according to the invention.
  • Actuating element and gripping part can, for example, be particularly characterized by profiling.
  • the end wall of the inner sleeve which has the outlet opening is designed as a cover and can preferably be attached to its peripheral wall in a non-detachable manner.
  • a front wall which can also be retrofitted to the peripheral wall of the inner sleeve, allows the entire dispenser with its plunger to be mounted with the lid still open and filled from the still open front side of the inner sleeve, in order then to place the front wall designed as a lid on the peripheral wall of the inner sleeve.
  • a simple and advantageous embodiment according to the invention provides that an annular groove is provided in the outlet-side end region of the peripheral wall on its inward-facing peripheral surface, into which the end wall designed as a lid can preferably be latched with a locking flange is.
  • a particularly expedient development according to the invention can consist in that the inner sleeve has on its side opposite the outlet opening an annular flange which, in an end position of its axial adjustment path, acts on a preferably approximately radial stop surface of the outer housing arranged on the outlet side.
  • the ring flange of the inner sleeve and the interacting with it, preferably approximately radial stop surface of the outer housing serves as a stop when manually applying the restoring force to the inner sleeve, which prevents the inner sleeve from being pulled out of the outer housing unintentionally.
  • ribs or the like are preferably distributed uniformly over the circumference on at least one of these dispenser parts between the outer housing and the inner sleeve Sliding projections are provided. These ribs or the like slide projections are intended to prevent the inner sleeve from being practical with its entire outer peripheral surface applied to the inner peripheral wall of the outer housing.
  • the end face of the outer housing which is designed as a base, can preferably be locked in a non-releasable manner with its peripheral wall.
  • the piston has sealing lips on the edge area of its piston jacket facing and / or facing away, which are placed against the inner peripheral surface of the inner sleeve.
  • These sealing lips seal the inner sleeve that holds the filling medium well in the area of the piston.
  • the sealing lips in particular placed against the inner peripheral surface of the inner sleeve, can also support the support of the piston on the peripheral wall of the inner sleeve during its return movement.
  • the preferably circumferential, annular sealing lips or similar projections point obliquely outwards with their free end region and in particular taper to a point. Such projections, which point obliquely outwards and in particular taper, promote the barb-like functioning of the sealing lips or the like placed against the inner peripheral surface of the inner sleeve.
  • the piston has a guide sleeve, which is preferably arranged centrally on the side of the piston head facing away from the filling, and if a lifting rod movable relative to the piston, expediently fastened to the bottom of the outer housing, penetrates the guide sleeve and a recess in the piston head.
  • This guide sleeve not only prevents the filling from passing through the recess in the piston crown through which the lifting rod passes, against the exit direction, for example during a dispensing process, but also promotes the problem-free and reliable movement of the piston in the container without canting.
  • a simple embodiment according to the invention provides that a connecting sleeve is provided on the piston, surrounding the guide sleeve at a distance, preferably arranged coaxially, which is connected to an expanding spring acting on the lifting rod, and that the expanding spring can only be moved in the exit direction relative to the lifting rod .
  • the spreading spring prevents the piston from moving in the opposite direction of the outlet, as a result of which the piston of the dispenser according to the invention is able to follow the volume of the filling that is reduced during gradual emptying.
  • the spreading spring is not connected to the piston via the guide sleeve, but rather via the connecting sleeve surrounding it at a distance, the radial forces which arise, for example, through a corresponding clamping or plug connection cannot act on the lifting rod and the piston during its movement in the exit direction hinder, the ease of handling of the dispenser according to the invention is further favored.
  • a particularly advantageous further development according to the invention provides that the sealing lip (s) or the like provided on the edge region of the piston skirt facing away from the piston crown under spring pressure, preferably by means of the spreading spring also acting on the lifting rod, pressurizing (pressurizing) the inner peripheral wall of the inner sleeve.
  • the sealing lips placed against the inner circumferential surface of the inner sleeve and acting on them under spring pressure can also act on the circumferential wall Replace spreading spring and make it unnecessary. It is therefore possible to dispense with a large, correspondingly expensive spreading or climbing spring that fills the cross section of the inner sleeve.
  • a small, inexpensive spreading spring is at most necessary, which need no longer act on the inner circumferential surface of the inner sleeve, but only on the lifting rod which also penetrates the piston. Since the piston of the dispenser according to the invention is not merely supported by the spreading spring, but rather directly absorbs some of the compressive forces acting on it, a connection of the piston to the spreading spring is therefore possibly also subject to lower forces. Thus, for example, a particularly resilient welded connection between the piston and the spreading spring can now be dispensed with, which can significantly reduce the manufacturing outlay of the dispenser according to the invention.
  • a proposal according to the invention therefore also provides that the piston is supported on the inner sleeve during a return movement of the inner sleeve by means of the tip (s) of the sealing lip (s) or the like facing away from the piston head.
  • a simple and advantageous embodiment according to the invention also provides that the sealing lips or the like projections are provided on the free edge regions of spring-apart spreading wall sections, and that four such wall sections essentially form the piston skirt or the outer peripheral surface of the piston.
  • the sealing lips or similar projections are also pressed against the inner peripheral wall of the inner sleeve. In this embodiment, too, there is therefore no need for an appropriately large spreading spring which also engages the peripheral wall.
  • a plug-in assembly of the spreading spring only engaging on the lifting rod on the piston represents a sufficient connection of these parts, it is also provided that a plug-in bead is provided on the outside at the free end region of the connecting sleeve, and that the outer edge region of the spreading spring has the plug-in bead preferably engages behind positively.
  • a further development of the invention provides that a cap or the like closure can be placed on the end region of the dispenser which has the outlet opening, and that the cap or the like locks on the inner sleeve in the closed position of the dispenser , jams or the like attacks releasably.
  • the inner sleeve for example detachably latched to the cap, is simultaneously pulled out and moved into its upper starting position, from which it can be moved with its end wall against the piston during a dispensing process.
  • a particularly simple embodiment according to the invention provides that the cap or the like has a receiving cavity which tapers conically towards the cap bottom, and that in the closed position of the dispenser the cap or the like preferably has the conically tapering region of its inner lateral surface on the edge region facing the outlet opening the inner sleeve is releasably clamped.
  • the outlet opening is closed by a nipple or the like, and if a break-cut or the like opening point is provided for removing the nipple or the like before the first dispensing process.
  • a nipple or similar closure protects the product from leakage, for example during transport.
  • Such a nipple can, for example, on the outlet opening be molded and must only be cut off before using the dispenser according to the invention.
  • the dispenser 1 shows a dispenser, generally designated 1, for pastes, creams or similar media with a particularly high viscosity.
  • the dispenser 1 essentially consists of an outer, sleeve-like outer housing 2, an inner sleeve 3 which is displaceably guided therein and a piston 4 which is movably arranged in the inner sleeve and approximately filling it in cross section.
  • the inner sleeve 3 projects beyond the outer housing 2.
  • the outlet-side end wall of the inner sleeve 3 serves as an actuating element for the dispensing process and the area of the peripheral wall of the inner sleeve 3 projecting beyond the outer housing 2 serves as a grip part for manually applying a lifting or pulling or similar restoring force to the inner sleeve 3.
  • the inner sleeve 3 carries the actuating element as well as the handle part itself.
  • the actuating element can also be designed as a projection 7 arranged, for example, on the end wall 5.
  • the inner sleeve 3 By pressing the end wall 5 of the inner sleeve 3 in the region of the projection 7, the inner sleeve 3 can be moved downward in the direction of arrow Pf 1.
  • the piston 4 engages via a spreading spring 8, which is known per se in its mode of action, on a lifting rod 9 fixedly attached to the bottom of the outer housing 2, and can be moved only in the exit direction Pf 2 of the filling due to the special design of this spreading spring 8. Therefore, pressure on the end wall 5 of the inner sleeve 3 moves the latter against the piston 4, so that the volume of the filling available in the inside of the inner sleeve 3 is reduced and the filling is accordingly pressurized and forced out of the front outlet opening 6 .
  • the inner sleeve 3 By pulling out the inner sleeve 3 on the handle part, which is formed by the outside of its peripheral wall 10, the inner sleeve 3 can at least in the direction be moved back to their original starting position. Since the piston 4 is designed in such a way that it is supported on the inner circumferential surface of the inner sleeve 3 in the exit direction Pf 2 in the event of a return movement, it can only be moved in the exit direction Pf 2 relative to the inner sleeve 3.
  • While the piston does not change its position with pressure on the end wall of the inner sleeve 3 serving as the actuating element in the direction of arrow Pf 1 relative to the lifting rod 9, it moves when the inner sleeve 3 is reset and manual restoring force is applied to the grip part of the inner sleeve 3 in the direction of arrow Pf 2 with this relative to the lifting rod 9 also in the direction of arrow Pf 2 upwards and thereby follows the volume of the filling which is reduced during the gradual emptying.
  • the resetting process for the dispenser according to the invention is only carried out manually by gripping the inner sleeve 3 on its grip part and pulling it out of the outer housing 2 so far that the inner sleeve 3 has a sufficient displacement path for a new dispensing process. Since the restoring force of a restoring spring, for example, does not have to be overcome when dispensing and actuating the actuating element, the dispenser according to the invention is comparatively simple and easy to use.
  • the resetting of the inner sleeve and its actuating element which is carried out by the user, has the further advantage that the axial displacement path of the inner sleeve and thus the displacement of filling material that can be displaced during a dispensing process can be increased, so that the user can use any fraction of this path and, depending on requirements, less or can remove larger quantities with one operation.
  • FIG. 2 shows the dispenser 1 from FIG. 1, largely dismantled into its individual parts, in a longitudinal section.
  • a groove 11 is provided in the outlet-side end region of the peripheral wall 10 of the inner sleeve 3 on its inwardly facing peripheral surface, which can be latched into the end wall, which is designed as a cover, with an annular flange 12.
  • the end wall of the inner sleeve 3, which has the outlet opening 6, can be fastened to the peripheral wall 10 of the inner sleeve 3 in a practically non-detachable manner and form a secure, resilient and permanent closure on the end face.
  • the inner sleeve 3 also has, on its side opposite the outlet opening 6, an annular flange 13 which, in order to limit the axial adjustment path of the inner sleeve 3, acts on an approximately radial abutment surface 14 of the outer housing 2 arranged on the outlet side thereof.
  • This stop surface 14 is formed by the shoulder surface of a section of the outer housing 2 with a larger inner diameter. If the annular flange 13 acts on the stop surface 14, the inner sleeve 3 cannot be pulled any further out of the outer housing 2 in the direction of arrow Pf 2.
  • annular flange 13 also limits the adjustment movement of the inner sleeve 3 in the direction of arrow Pf 1, since it presses on the end wall 5 of the inner sleeve 3 serving as the actuating element, for example during a dispensing operation on the outlet opening 6 and as a floor or standing surface of the Dispenser 1 trained end wall of the outer housing 2 abuts.
  • Fig. 2 shows that the end face of the outer housing 2, which is designed as a base 16, can preferably be non-releasably locked with its peripheral wall 17.
  • the outer housing 2 has two latching beads 18 which are arranged at an axial distance from one another and which can be latched into annular recesses 28 arranged on the inside of the base 16.
  • the spreading spring 8 only acts on the lifting rod 9 and not on the inner peripheral surface of the inner sleeve 3.
  • it has - as shown in FIG. 3 - on its edge region 20 of its piston jacket facing away from the filling, sealing lips or similar projections 21 which, when the piston 4 is in the use position, against the inner peripheral surface the inner sleeve 3 are provided.
  • the sealing lips 21 or the like are provided on the free edge regions of wall sections 19 which are resiliently spread outward, four of such wall sections 19 essentially forming the piston skirt or the outer peripheral surface of the piston 4.
  • the free end area of the sealing lips 21 or the like is inclined outwards and is in particular tapered.
  • the piston 4 has a guide sleeve 23 for the lifting rod 9, which is arranged approximately centrally on the side of the piston head 22 facing away from the filling.
  • This lifting rod 9 passes through the guide sleeve 23 and a recess 24 of the piston crown 22 shown in FIG. 3c.
  • the spreading spring 8 which is also visible in FIGS. 1 and 2 is connected to a connecting sleeve 25 which surrounds the guide sleeve 22 at a distance and is arranged coaxially with it.
  • the disk-shaped or plate-shaped spreading spring 8 has an approximately conical and centrally arranged bulge 26, which at its tapering end region has a circular recess 27 penetrated by the lifting rod 9 in the use position.
  • the piston 4 can be moved relative to the lifting rod 9 only in the direction of arrow Pf 2 .
  • the spreading spring 8 enables the piston to follow the volume of the filling that is reduced during gradual emptying and only in the direction of its exit Pf 2 moves.
  • the dispenser 1 is connected with little effort both in its construction and in its production and is nevertheless safe and easy to use. Since the inner sleeve 3 directly carries the actuating element and the gripping part itself, it is possible to dispense with return springs, actuation keys which are particularly mounted on the outer housing 2 or outlet channels arranged between the inner sleeve 3 and the outer housing.
  • a dispenser 1 ' is shown, in which the outlet-side end wall 5 of the inner sleeve 3 also serves as an actuating element and the region of its peripheral wall 10 which projects beyond the outer housing 2 serves as a gripping part.

  • the dispenser 1 ' By a slight manual pulling up of the inner sleeve 3 in the outer housing 2, the dispenser 1 'can be brought into its removal position. This largely prevents malfunctions from the advancing piston 4 '. Due to the comparatively large adjustment path of its inner sleeve 3 in the outer housing 2, the filling quantity removed during a dispensing process can be metered to a desired level.
  • the dispenser 1 ' is easy to use when pushing out the filling medium, since the user has no restoring force to overcome, for example a return spring.
