Abstract

An assembly for connecting a fitting (2) to a pipe (16) contains a union nut (18) assigned to the pipe, the internal thread (28) of which engages in an external thread (10) of the fitting (2). The union nut (18) is in engagement with an insert (12) which can be connected to the pipe (16). The intention is to further develop the connection assembly with a low outlay on construction in such a way that the fitting (2) can be connected with as few components as possible to the pipe (16) by means of a standardised union nut (18) via the non-standard external thread (10) of the fitting. It is proposed to arrange between the internal thread (28), the union nut (18) and the external thread (10) a threaded ring (30), the external thread of which is designed to correspond to the internal thread (28) of the union nut as a standardised thread, in particular in accordance with DIN 2950. After the tightening of the union nut (18), the axial end face (34) of the threaded ring (30) is set back by a predetermined distance relative to the front face (24) of the housing (4). <IMAGE>
