Abstract
892,568. Pipe joints. CHIKSAN CO. Jan. 18, 1961 [Feb. 26, 1960], No. 2057/61. Class 99(1). A pipe joint comprises two tubes 10, 20 Fig. 2, which are held together in end to end relationship by a nut 40 which engages an integral abutment 22 and is in screw-thread engagement with a detachable ring 14. The ring 14 can be screw-threaded to the tube 10 and locked in position by a screw 16 which engages a depression 18, (not shown) in the tube 10. The abutment 22 Fig. 4 has a partspherical surface 26 and may have a partspherical surface 24a, each of which surfaces are engaged by corresponding surfaces on the nut 40 and the tube 10.
