In DE-GM 87 12 910 a collection container is described which, despite its cost-effective design, offers sufficient safety both during transport and during handling. This tank container has a safety lid 4 at its upper end, and a filling funnel 14 is suspended from the upper opening of the tank container 2, which has a pipe part 5 that reaches almost to the bottom of the tank container 2, whereby this pipe part is closed at the bottom by a continuous base plate 6.
