Vorliegende Erfindung kennzeichnet eine Ausführungsform eines Apparats zum Entsäuern von Gasen und Dämpfen, bei welchen die saueren Bestandtheile derselben durch eine alkalisch wirkende Flüssigkeit neutralisirt werden, die den Gasen etc. auf Vertheilungsflächen entgegengeführt wird. Der Apparat ist in der Zeichnung in einem Längsschnitt dargestellt. A ist der Sammelbehälter, in welchem oben die Vertheilungsflächen / und m eingebaut sind, während unten ein Rührwerk C angeordnet ist. Die Gase werden durch Röhren D in den Behälter A eingeleitet und steigen durch die Vertheilungscolonne nach oben, während die alkalisch wirkende Flüssigkeit über die letzteren abtropft.
