Description
The subject matter of the invention deals with a Process for the manufacture of coolers, after which the soldering of the individual crimped Cooler tube in a bath takes place in that a large amount of tubes are combined and with their end face in flas solder bath is immersed.
So far, a tin-plated brass bath has been used to manufacture the cooler tubes, then bent the tubes, cut them to length and put them in an oven, in to which the coagulation layer came into flux and the seams were thereby soldered. Partially one proceeded in such a way that after the bending the seam was soldered with the soldering iron; in both cases it was an extensive, time consuming and costly work.
According to the invention, the tubes are made from untinned strips in a known manner bent and folded, but the fold is not yet soldered. It is initially an unsoldered one Block emerged. This block is then immersed in a soldering water bath that completely washed around and covered the block. The block was then removed and incorporated Tin bath dipped, but in such a way that the tin bath only rinses the face of the block and that the level of the tin bath rises only to a small height in the free interior of the tube. It can be seen that the soldering tin is well above the tin level along the fold rises and thereby soldered the fold of the individual tubes and these under them. Evoked So the capillary appearance is due to the fact that the outside of the tube is wetted with soldering water. Depending on the Tubes are kept more or less long, the tubes have to be more or less be immersed deeply in the tin bath. In this way you have it in your hand, that To reach and ensure the rise of the solder along the entire tube. So you can z. B. completely soldered with a tube length of 90 mm if the Tubes are immersed about 15 mm deep in the tin bath. The amount up to which the solder increases, also depends on the alloy of the solder. The higher the tin content is, the more easily fluid the solder and the higher it rises for the same tin bath depth.
