Das Lager besteht aus einem Gehäuse 1, in welchem die Welle 2, welche von dem Lager getragen werden soll, in zwei voneinander getrennten Kugellagern 3 und 4 drehbar liegt. Zwischen den Kugellagern 3 und 4 ist ein Raum 5 in dem Gehäuse 1 vorgesehen, welcher zur Aufnahme des durch den Kanal 6 unter Druck eingeführten Schmiermittels dient. In diesem Raum 5 sind auf der Welle 2 zwei Buchsen 7 und 8 angeordnet und teilweise ineinandergefügt. Im Innern der Buchsen liegt um die Welle 2 herum eine Feder 9, deren Enden auf die Böden der Buchsen 7 und 8 mittels Dichtungen bildender Scheiben 10 derart einwirken, daß die Buchsen mittels Ringen und 12 die elastischen Dichtungen 14 und 15 in die Schalen 16 und 17 einpressen, welche die Enden des Raumes 5 nach den Lagerstellen 3 und 4 hin abschließen. Die Buchse 7 wird von der Welle 2 mittels eines Mitnehmerstiftes 18, mit dem letztere versehen ist und welcher in eine in der Buchse vorgesehene Öffnung eingreift, mitgenommen. Die Buchse 8 wird gleichfalls von der Welle 2 mitgenommen, und zwar durch einen Stift 19, welcher in der Buchse befestigt ist und in eine j in der Welle 2 vorgesehenen Rille 20 eingreift. Die beiden Ringe 11 und 12 sind mit den Schalen 16 und 17 mittels Stiftschrauben 21 fest verbunden. In der einen Stirnfläche der ' Hülse 7, die mit derjenigen des Ringes 11 in Berührung steht, ist eine Aussparung 22 und j in der Stirnfläche des Ringes 11 eine Aussparung 23 vorgesehen. Diese Aussparung 23 steht nach außen hin mit dem Druckraum 5 in Verbindung, während eine zweite Aussparung 24 die Verbindung mit den Außenteilen des Lagers herstellt. Bei Drehung der durch die Welle 2 mitgenommenen Buchse 7 kommt die Aussparung 22 mit der Aussparung 23 zur Deckung, sodann mit der Aussparung 24. Sind die Aussparungen 22 und 23 in Deckung miteinander, so tritt eine kleine Menge des Schmiermittels, mit welcher die Aussparung 23 ständig gefüllt ist, in die Aussparung 22 ein. Kommt die Aussparung 22 mit der Aussparung 24 in Deckung, so gibt sie das Schmiermittel an letztere ab.
