Ausführungsbeispiel: Man schmilzt Kolophon und versetzt es alsdann mit etwa 5 Prozent eines Alkalisalzes der Kokosfettsäure oder einer anderen Fettsäure unter Ci4. Das derart präparierte Harz verwendet man zur Erzeugung irgendeines brauchbaren Harzlackes nach beliebiger Art. Der also erzielte Lack wird alsdann mit den üblichen Giften nach Belieben und Meinung versetzt.
