  Verfahren zur Herstellung von kolloidalem Thorhydrat. 



   Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Thorhydrat im kolloidalem Zustande. 



   Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass zur Herstellung der Hydrate aus den ThoriumSalzen z. B. aus dem Thoriumnitrat oder aus Gemengen derselben in fester Form oder in

Ein unter dieser Bedingung, also unter Vermeidung eines Überschusses an Alkali hergestelltes Hydrat geht bei der Erwärmung in   das Kolloid über.   



   Ist bei der Herstellung des Hydrates ein Überschuss an Alkali bezw. Ammoniak vorhanden, so zeigt sich, wie der Versuch lehrt, dass das durch Ausfällung erhaltene Hydrat sich bei Erwärmung nicht verändert und sich nicht in Kolloid umwandelt. 



   Bei   Ausführung   des Verfahrens wird Ammoniak bezw. Alkali in solchen Mengen zugesetzt, dass kein Thorsalz mehr in Lösung bleibt. Nach Auswaschen des Hydrates von den gebildeten   Ammon-resp. Alkalisalzcn   wird dasselbe   erwärmt,   wobei die Umset/ung

 Zustande zu verwenden. Die Erwärmung kann am einracbsten auf einem Wasserbad durchgeführt worden.
