Internal shading device for windows

|g The present innovation concerns an internal | ^&ohgr; shading device for windows according to the generic term of

&bgr; Claim 1.

Shading or darkening devices for windows are known that are equipped with a pivoting roller blind shaft, two side guide rails and a closing rod. The closing rod takes up the free end of the blind wound on the roller blind shaft and guides its edges into the side guide rails so that the window surface is covered without a gap. This means that the darkened area of the window is completely opaque due to the cover in the window frame.

In known roller blinds of this type, the side guide rails are subsequently screwed onto the window frame. This type of installation has the disadvantage that the clear width of the window area is reduced. This has a negative effect on the amount of light coming through the window, the view from the window and the aesthetics of the entire window.

The innovation is now based on the task of developing a shading device that does not restrict the visible area of the window, is almost invisible when not in use and enables simple and uncomplicated operation.

The problem is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

According to the innovation, guide rails are incorporated into the frame of a window so that they are completely embedded in the frame. Regarding the window frames, it should be noted that they can be made of all possible materials and that the guide rail is inserted in the appropriate place regardless of the material. The window frame shown in the drawings is preferably designed as

Wooden frame shown. This can be seen from the fact that the frame is divided into three parts, which are marked with dashed lines. The three-part division of the frame is necessary to prevent the frame from twisting. By gluing the three parts together, a form stability is achieved that is not possible with a continuous piece. However, this type of processing of the wood into a window frame is independent of the arrangement of a guide rail and is only used here to explain the attached figures. The frame shown can therefore also consist of one piece, whereby the arrangement of the guide rail is carried out in the appropriate place regardless of the material.

According to the state of the art, it is known to mount a profile rail on the two inner sides, left and right of the frame of a window. The rails are mounted in such a way that a roller blind shaft can be mounted on the upper side of the window, on which a corresponding curtain for darkening or shading is rolled up, and that this curtain is attached with its free end to a cover rod and can be pulled out with this cover rod along the two guide rails to the lower end of the window.

The roller blind shaft is rotatably mounted and can be adjusted or fixed according to the desired extension length. This means that the window can be shaded or darkened as much as desired, depending on the desired level of darkening.

However, this arrangement has the disadvantage that by attaching the guide rail to the inside of the window frame, the guide rail protrudes into the window surface. This has the disadvantage that the visible area is restricted by the window pane and, secondly, the guide rail mounted in this way has a detrimental effect on the appearance of the window frame.

The method of fastening the guide rail in the window frame described in the present innovation now has the advantage that the guide rail is almost invisibly embedded in the window frame. This means that the visible window area is no longer restricted. The barely visible guide rail means that the window frame almost regains its original shape and does not appear overloaded. Shading or darkening the window in question works as usual and is handled as described above. The decisive advantage of the present innovation is that the window frame is not unduly widened and the additional function of shading or darkening is arranged almost invisibly in the window frame.

The innovation is compared with the state of the art and described in more detail using the two drawings, which show the embodiment of the present innovation and the embodiment according to the prior art. They show:

The embodiment shown in Figure 1 is based on a wooden frame that consists of three parts. A guide rail 2 is incorporated into this window frame 1, which is arranged towards the inside of the window. The glass 3 is attached to the window frame 1 with the seal 4.

The end bar with the shading or blackout blind attached to it is inserted into the guide rail 2 during assembly and, when the window is installed, slides up or down along the slot in the guide rail 2, depending on whether the window is to be darkened or whether the shading is to be retracted. The roller blind shaft, the blackout blind and the end bar are not shown in Figure 1. The essential feature of the present invention is precisely that the guide rail 2 is integrated in the frame 1. This fact is clearly shown in Figure 1, as is the fastening of the window to the frame 1 by the seal 4.

An equally clear representation applies to Figure 2, in which the guide rail 2 is mounted on the frame 1 with a fastening 5. In this representation it is clearly visible that the guide rail 2 protrudes from the frame 1 towards the inside of the window. The fastening of the window 3 by the seal 4 to the frame 1 is shown in the same way as in Figure 1 and is carried out according to the state of the art.

The representation in Figure 2 according to the prior art serves primarily to illustrate the advantages achieved by the embodiment according to the present innovation compared to the prior art.
