Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Neuerung an Hüten und bezweckt, die damit versehenen Hüte für unterschiedliche Kopfweiten gebrauchsfertig zu gestalten. Für Damenhüte hat man auch bereits ein auswechselbares Futter vorgeschlagen, dessen untere Kante durch Einfügung eines dehnbaren Bügels verschiedenen Kopfweiten angepaßt werden kann. Gegenüber diesen bekannt gewordenen Einrichtungen hat der Gegenstand dieser Erfindung den Vorzug, daß er keinerlei Veränderungen am Hute selbst bedingt, an Stelle des Schweißleders treten kann und deshalb kein eigentlich zusätzliches Mittel bildet. Er führt auch keine nennenswerte Gewichtserhöhung des Hutes herbei, kann an jedem dem Handel zugeführten Hute Verwendung finden und beeinträchtigt in keiner Weise das Aussehen des Hutes, weder im Gebrauch noch außer Gebrauch.
