Schauhauben für photographische Handdunkelkammern sind bekannt, bei denen durch Anpressen des Kopfes eine Schauöffnung freigelegt wird. Man hat aber bisher keine Einrichtung getroffen, die die Dunkelkammer während der Dauer der Beschauung der Platten o. dgl. selbsttätig beleuchtet. Diesem Zweck dient die Erfindung, und zwar wird der Zweck dadurch erreicht, daß die Schauhaube mit einer Vorrichtung zum Schließen eines Kontakts in dem Stromkreis einer das Innere der Dunkelkammer beleuchtenden Glühlampe verbunden ist.
