Es wird zu diesem Zweck ein belasteter, von der jeweiligen Stellung des Rückschlagventils unabhängiger, für gewöhnlich durch einen Sperrhebel, welcher mit dem Turbinenregler in Verbindung steht, in gespannter Lage gehaltener Hammer 0. dgl. derart zum Rückschlagventil angeordnet, daß bei zu hoher Tourenzahl der infolge Einwirkung des Reglers von seiner Sperrung befreite Hammer das Rückschlagventil entgegen dem Dampfdruck auf seinen Sitz drückt. In dieser Stellung bleibt dann das Ventil, bis der Hammer durch besondere äußere Mittel in seine gesperrte Lage gebracht worden ist. Man kann die Sperrung dieses Hammers, falls die Turbine mit Frisch- und Abdampf betrieben wird, mit dem Schnellschlußregler der Frischdampfleitung derart verbinden, daß beim Durchgehen der Maschine letzterer sowie der auf das Rückschlagventil wirkende Hammer entweder gleichzeitig oder kurz nacheinander vom Regler ausgelöst werden.
